Three years ago, I stood beside this beautiful lake in Canada with my husband, my sister, my niece, and my nephew.
Today, I can't quite remember the name of the lake, but I remember how it made me feel.
The water was still. The mountains stood quietly in the distance. The air seemed to whisper, "Slow down."
Nature has a way of teaching lessons without saying a word.
In a world that constantly asks us to rush, achieve, and move on to the next thing, a lake simply exists—calm, patient, and unhurried.
Looking back at this video, I'm reminded of how often we overlook the beauty around us. We pass by sunsets, trees, rivers, and open skies while our minds are occupied with tomorrow's worries.
Yet these moments are gifts.
The gentle ripple of water. The reflection of the clouds. The laughter of family nearby. The peace found in simply being present.
Perhaps happiness is not always found in grand achievements, but in these quiet moments that ask nothing from us except our attention.
Three years later, this lake still reminds me: Slow down. Look around. Breathe deeply. The beauty you are searching for may already be right in front of you.

Throwback to three years ago—driving from Chilliwack to Vancouver on our way to Seattle. 🌲⛰️
The scenery was breathtaking, and looking back at these photos reminds me how quickly time passes. While the landscape may be unchanged, the journey has continued, bringing new experiences, lessons, and opportunities.
A beautiful reminder to enjoy not just the destination, but every step along the way.

The weather outside is gloomy today—the kind of day that makes you want to stay snuggled up in bed a little longer.
But sometimes growth happens when we show up anyway.
This morning, I had a Zoom meeting to attend, and I'm so glad I did. I left feeling grateful, inspired, and energized by being part of a community that encourages, supports, and lifts one another up.
There's something powerful about surrounding yourself with people who share ideas, celebrate wins, and help each other grow.
Even on the greyest days, the right community can bring light, motivation, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Grateful to be learning, growing, and leveraging opportunities together.
Sometimes all it takes is showing up. You never know what inspiration is waiting on the other side of a simple decision.
