Today's workflow review: shell stickers cut, weeded, and placed by hand onto Kosmae's display cards. One of the many invisible steps before a single piece reaches the table.
Boots reviewed the finished cards in her capacity as Assistant Editor, which chiefly meant sitting on them until they were declared warm enough to work with.
Tabby was, by all accounts, also present. Confirmation pending.
This is the bit nobody sees at the market - the packaging, the cards, the small decisions that add up to something that looks finished instead of thrown together.

Kosmae debuts at Shabby Chic Market Day, Rochester Villa - 6 September.
Tabby clocked in today - full formal attire, in the middle of laundry day. She assessed the chaos, decided it wasn't her problem, and left. Immaculate bow tie. Zero contribution. Management remains charmed against its better judgement. 🎀

Hera Teleia - the Fulfilled
We know Hera as queen of the gods, but one of her oldest titles has little to do with thrones. Teleia comes from telos: completion, fulfilment, the accomplished end toward which a thing moves. Hera Teleia is Hera "made complete" - and the domain she rules under this name is marriage.
To the Greeks, marriage was itself a kind of telos: not merely a wedding, but a threshold at which a life became fully what it was meant to be. Hera presided over that passage. In wedding prayers she was invoked alongside Zeus Teleios - the two of them, the Fulfilled and the Fulfiller, standing as the divine pattern of the married pair.
Pausanias records something striking at Stymphalos, where Hera was honoured under three names across the arc of a woman's life: Pais, the Girl; Teleia, the Fulfilled; and Chera, the Widowed or Set-Apart. One goddess, three seasons - maiden, wife, and the woman who stands alone again. Teleia is the middle mystery: not an ending, but the moment of becoming whole.
It is a quietly radical idea - that completion is not a finish line but a fullness, and that even the gods pass through stages. Hera Teleia does not mark the close of the story. She marks the point at which it ripens.

Spinach & Feta Parcels — a recipe from our family collection — are exactly that kind of comfort. Flaky puff pastry, crumbled feta, spinach and a little parmesan. Fifteen minutes to put together, twenty in the oven, and eight golden parcels to show for it.
Pop them in, step away, and let the smell of baking pastry and garlic do the work. Lovely warm with a spoonful of tomato relish on the side.
