Why is this?
Our facial muscles can actually hold emotional tension as they’re very responsive to nervous system changes. So basically when we’re stressed, anxious or angry this tightness can show up in our facial muscles and surrounding fascia.
Interestingly though, this relationship between emotions and your face can work both ways. Unclenching your jaw or relaxing your forehead and eyes can make you feel calmer - your nervous system has been signaled that you’re safe. Give it a try 😌

To celebrate rae turning two, we’ve done something a bit different and collaborated with the super talented artist to create this beautiful illustration for a limited drop of rae tees 👏🏼 The design is inspired by facial movement, energy and flow and I’m obsessed ❤️🔥
