As we prepare for 2025, Rakau Ora has made significant decisions that will impact Pjs Hair Studio.

Unfortunately, we will be closing our doors for the last time at the end of the year.

Initially, we felt a sense of failure. Yet after reflecting on the true kaupapa of our services - supporting not only our community but our team by providing work experience to become self employed - we realised we have truly succeeded.

Throughout our journey at PJ's, we've had 7 staff members. Five of whom have moved on to start their own Barber experiences. One team member, weeks away from opening a beauty salon to which we are so proud.

Their accomplishments fill us with so much pride as we think back on the wonderful moments shared with our clients, the laughter echoing through the Arcade, the stories, and the occasional chaos of mothers managing their toddlers' first haircuts!

So a massive NGA MIHI KAITAIA! For your support at PJ's and for helping us fund mental health services for our community.

Please join us until the end of December as we say our farewells and take our final bookings for braids, and nail appointments for 2024 - we would love to see you!

Looking ahead, our Mental Wellness services are undergoing an exciting transformation that even we couldn't have anticipated, we are freaking out about the awesome possibilities this will create for our community in 2025!

We’ve had an awesome couple of weeks full of Manis&Pedis! Thank you for using our services here at PJ'S HAIR Studio please note a fraction of all funds go back into our community and the Mental Health Services Rakau Ora Ltd provide. 🫶

As of next week - the 18th of September we will be offering basic Gel manicures (with option of extensions), and Gel Pedicures. 💅

Upon starting this iniatiative under Rakau Ora at Pjs Hair Studio, will be setting these prices at an affordable price for the community.❤️

For our Mamas’ and Nanny’s to “Look Good & Feel Good”
Manicures will be $45 & Pedicures will be $45. For the first 2 weeks.☺️
