Meet Cameron, the newest barber at Milk & Honey Collective.

His barbering journey started at home cutting his brother's hair. Soon friends, then friends of friends, were asking for cuts, and what began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion.

While completing NCEA Levels 1 and 2 over the next two years, Cameron is committed to building his skills and growing his career. He's already built a loyal client base from home, with around 20 to 40 regular clients booking through his Instagram.

When Cameron came in asking for an opportunity, he didn't wait to be asked. During his interview, walk-in clients arrived looking for haircuts, and he stepped up with confidence and got straight to work. That initiative told us everything we needed to know.

Fresh out of training and full of enthusiasm, Kiri is building her client base and growing her own beauty business here in Northland.

She currently offers gel nails, manicures, relaxing facials, and Dutch braiding. If you're after something a little extra, she also adds fun hair charms to her braids for a bit of sparkle and personality.

Brow services are coming soon as she continues to grow her skills and expand her treatment menu.
