Here's the truth - that a lot of dreadlock creatives don't really talk about - I feel... Burnout 👇🏼

I hit burnout.

As you can see my feed has been quiet for a while now, I had some big life changes occur in the last quarter of 2025.

I moved house and towns which was big

And during this time I lost motivation to create, too many things going on, trying to juggle different hats but most of all I hit a physical (and energetic) wall

I just stopped creating, I stopped putting myself out there as all I had energy for was me, and the furkid

It's a big thing to create a completely new hair style/ transformation for others, and if you're in burnout that's even harder.

A LOT of energy gets transferred between the creater and client and often long periods of time (and love) is invested to make these transformations.

I just didn't have the capacity. And to be honest have quite gotten it back.

I've created a couple of dreadheads, and maintained a couple of close regulars , but in the most part energetically, 'closed the books' to anyone new coming into my space.

I've been riding the entrepreneur roller coaster of dread creating since 2018, my body is starting to tell me to reassess, my energy levels are telling me to pivot , but I still have a bunch of knowledge that could benefit others...

2025 was a year of pause, of reflection, of survival

2026 for me is a year of reassessing, pivoting and re creation to move forward in alignment

I don't think a lot of dread artists share how burnout and inconsistent cash flow really impacts them, I'm here to share it does exist, it happens but it doesn't have to define the way you see yourself , your service, your skills or your vision
