So another great Churchyard Physiotherapy Christmas celebration last night! Lots of fun with Helen Chisholm of Helebore Design creating Christmas floral arrangements learning a lot and having a few laughs. Followed by dinner with creations from Not Now James Catering and Cafe Brie and a bit of home cooking mixed in! It's been an interesting year but with a great team we can achieve anything. Bring it on 2022!

The first day of spring and what better way to see that than a family duck walk. Fiona had a lovely surprise on her daily lockdown walk on the riverside walk. Have you seen any lovely spring sights today?

The Cancer Society Daffodil Day was scheduled for tomorrow but can't go ahead due to Covid restrictions. SO we thought let's see what we can do! These little cuties are up for grabs. There are approximately 25 bulbs in a terracotta pot. Make an offer in the comments below and they go to the highest bidder at 5.00pm Friday 27th August. All $$ go straight to the Cancer Society. They will be available for pick up or can be delivered to locations in Palmerston North after lockdown. PS they are pretty hardy - Fiona has managed to keep them alive and blooming each season for a few years now!

We are all settled in to working from home during this lockdown period. In the interest of our wellbeing we have made the call to be operating 3 days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. This gives up ample time to see our clients that are needing our services, including those with new injuries, and take some time to have full days to focus on doing other things that fill our own cup so that we have great energy to bring to our work. Call our admin team on 06 3548008 or email [email protected]. Take care out there - stay safe and well and remember to take some time to do the things that make you feel good!

With the Covid - 19 Level 4 Lockdown announced this evening the clinic is closed. We have moved operations to our homes and our admin team will be up and running in the morning after 11am ready to answer all your questions and rearrange appointments for you. We will be offering Telehealth appointments over the lockdown so do give our admin team a call and they will be able to arrange that for you. Phone 06 354 8008 or email [email protected]. In the mean time Stay Home Stay Safe Stay Well

This week we welcomed Meghan Olckers to our Physio team. Meghan and her family have recently moved to Palmerston North from South Africa and are settling into Palmy life. She has had a big week meeting a lot of new patients, getting to know the clinic and she has been awesome! Hope you get some R&R this weekend Meghan!

Exciting times as we farewell Katie - off on Maternity leave from today! We will miss her heaps but can't wait to meet her wee man in a few weeks! Take care Katie, put your feet up while you can xx

It's hard to believe that a year ago we were packing up and locking up the clinics to go to the unknown world of working from home, telehealth and Level 4 lockdown! We learnt (very quickly!) how to zoom, do telehealth, have virtual staff meetings (some even included a glass of wine!) and we got on with it. Then we got back to the clinic eventually and we learnt a whole lot more - how to clean a surface to within an inch of it's life, hand sanitising became second nature and I think the admin team ask Covid screening questions in their sleep! There was huge change - not only Covid related - as we moved the town clinic to new premises on Broadway - our Hand Therapy friends, and Karen and Avril stayed at Ashley St - and new staff came on board! Fiona is incredibly grateful for having an awesome team that worked so hard through the lockdown, the transition back to the clinic and then in the move to the new site - it just wouldn't have happened without their efforts. Safe to say it hasn't been the easiest year to date (and not one to be repeated!) but we made it and I think stronger for it. Stay safe everyone, keep going - we can do this!

From 6am this morning we will be operating under Covid Alert Level 2. We are still open from tomorrow morning but will take some extra precautions to keep our clients, our staff and our community safe.
There will be additional screening as you and staff arrive at the clinic, additional sanitising and cleaning will occur and we will practice social distancing in the waiting room/reception area and the treatment rooms. At Level 2 attendance at the clinic is by appointment only so please phone rather than drop in to make or change appointments. Hang in there, we can do this!
