One of the things we love seeing in residential projects is when the transition between indoors and out feels effortless.

In this Auckland home, a travertine-inspired material palette has been carried throughout the living spaces and outdoor areas, creating a natural sense of flow. Tumbled natural stone adds warmth and texture inside, while large-format travertine-look porcelain continues the story outdoors. The subtle mosaic detailing brings another layer of interest, proving that even small material choices can have a big impact on the overall feel of a project.

An entertainer's dream.

Marble continues to be one of the most sought-after aesthetics in contemporary design, valued for its movement, depth, and ability to bring a sense of permanence to a space.

Collections like Contact make it possible to achieve that same visual richness while benefiting from the practicality and performance of porcelain.

Defined by dramatic veining, subtle natural detail, and a refined honed finish, Contact is designed for projects where materiality plays a central role in the overall design outcome. A versatile surface that feels equally at home in residential interiors, hospitality environments and commercial spaces.

One of the shifts we're seeing in current projects is a move towards materials that feel more grounded and authentic. Architects and designers are increasingly looking for surfaces with subtle variation, texture and depth. Materials that create interest through their natural character rather than bold statements.

Our latest collection, Pietra di Orosei, is a perfect example. Inspired by the beauty of natural stone, it combines soft tonal movement and organic detail with the versatility and performance of porcelain. It's versatile, understated and designed to work across a wide range of applications.

There’s something special about a darker bathroom palette when it’s thoughtfully balanced.

In this project, reflective surfaces have been used to bring light and depth into the space. An oversized custom mirror and gloss wall tiles help soften the darker finishes, creating a room that feels open, welcoming and full of character.

The floor and wall tiles introduce texture and warmth, complementing the matte gunmetal tapware, black fittings and striking travertine pendant. Each element plays its part, resulting in a space that feels both dramatic and harmonious.

Metro Granite Cobble Setts are becoming a popular choice across residential and commercial projects throughout New Zealand, valued for their classic appearance and durability.

Made from extremely dense natural granite, they perform exceptionally well in high-traffic areas such as driveways, pathways and outdoor spaces. Their textured surfaces provide practical slip resistance underfoot, while the natural variation within each sett adds depth, movement and character across larger paved areas.

Available in a range of finishes including flamed, flamed and tumbled, and split-face surfaces, Metro Granite Cobble Setts can suit everything from clean contemporary architecture to more rustic and organic landscapes. Durable, low maintenance and designed to age beautifully over time, they offer a practical and enduring paving solution.

A reminder that we’ll be attending ArchiPro ’s Home Design Evening in Auckland this Friday.

It’s always a great event to reconnect with people across the industry and be part of some genuinely good conversations around design, architecture, and materials. Our team are looking forward to hearing Tom Webster, architect and host of Grand Designs New Zealand, lead this year’s discussions.

If you’re heading along, come and say hello on the night.

One thing we’ve learnt over the years is that specifying stone early almost always leads to a better outcome.

Not just aesthetically, but technically as well.

It allows more consideration around detailing, slab sizing, drainage, finishes, and how materials transition throughout a project, especially between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The projects that feel the most resolved are usually the ones where materials have been considered from the beginning, rather than treated as an afterthought.

Interested to hear if others are seeing the same across current projects.

One of our most popular collections just got even better.

We’ve expanded Unique Travertine with a rich new chocolate tone, bringing a deeper, more grounded feel to the collection. Alongside this, we’ve introduced new large format options and added Opus Brecciato formats in 200x200 and 200x230 - opening up even more design flexibility.

Same timeless travertine look, now with more ways to use it.
