Travertine has been used in architecture for centuries, and it's easy to understand why. Its variation is subtle, its texture feels honest, and it becomes more comfortable within a space over time.

"Should I use natural stone or porcelain?"

It depends on your project.

Natural stone offers unique variation and develops character over time, while porcelain provides exceptional consistency, durability, and low maintenance.

Neither is inherently better. The right choice depends on the environment, how the space will be used, the aesthetic you're trying to achieve, and how the material will perform over time.

The good news is you don't always have to choose one or the other. Some of the most successful projects combine both, using natural stone where its character can really shine and porcelain where performance and practicality are key. One of the things we love seeing in residential projects is when the transition between indoors and out feels effortless.
