Barbers Go Global

Our hearts are heavy this morning when we discovered the terrorist attack which transpired in New Zealand.

Christchurch was our first home abroad so it is disheartening to hear that the effects of intolerance and hate have struck the country. We never imagined that such behaviors and attitudes would make it's way to Aotearoa's shores.

Keeping the country and our whanau in our thoughts as you heal during this dark time. 💚🌿

When New Zealand doesn't want us to leave....

We expected to go home but the universe said no we need the Barbers back in NZ!

2.5 hours into a 14 hour flight, the pilot says we're turning back around due to the weather instruments not working. Welp, that was a nice 5 hours of sightseeing the Pacific Ocean. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏽‍♂️

Thankful for traveling mercies even if it is back to square one! Our little one has been a champ through it all.

We've been reading, resting and prepping to be our best selves for 2019 while in New Zealand.

A few days ago we visited Huka Falls in Taupo. The water truly looks *that* blue!

We've had a full day of Christmas festivities and downtime as the day is coming to a close but we know Christmas day is just beginning back home. Thankful for everyone that has been apart of our community near and far. Merry Christmas to our family and friends around the world from New Zealand. 💚🌿

LA was a part of the journey but it wasn't the final destination...Thankful to have returned for the third time- this time with our son in tow.

We've been low-key and enjoying this beautiful country for the last couple of days. It feels good catching up with our NZ family and we look forward to connecting with many more between now and early next year.

Does it take more energy to travel with a little one? Definitely. But we wouldn't change it for the world. Yesterday was one heck of a travel day but Levi did FANTASTIC.
