Iron + Ivy Hair Studio is looking for a confident, polished, people-loving Receptionist / Front of House superstar to join our award-winning Queenstown salon.

We are one of Queenstown’s leading hair salons, known for beautiful hair, exceptional client care, and a high-energy team environment. We are busy, creative, fast-paced, and proudly obsessed with delivering an experience that feels professional, warm, and unforgettable.

This role is perfect for someone who loves people, thrives under pressure, and can keep a premium salon running smoothly without breaking a sweat. Think air traffic control, but with better hair.

About the Role:

As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in creating the Iron + Ivy experience from the moment someone walks through the door.

You will be responsible for welcoming clients, managing bookings, supporting the team, handling client enquiries, coordinating the salon flow, and helping make sure every guest feels looked after, valued, and excited to come back.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident, friendly, and naturally great with people
Calm, organised, and able to multitask in a busy environment
Well-presented and professional
A strong communicator with excellent phone and customer service skills
Reliable, proactive, and detail-focused
Comfortable using booking systems, computers, and social media messages
Able to think ahead, solve problems, and support the team without needing to be asked twice
Excited to be part of a premium, creative salon brand

At least 2 years of previous reception, hospitality, retail, beauty, or salon experience would be amazing, but the right personality and attitude matter most.

What You’ll Be Doing;

Welcoming clients and creating a warm first impression
Managing appointments, bookings, cancellations, and waitlists
Answering phone calls, emails, and social media enquiries
Supporting stylists with client flow and daily salon organisation
Taking payments and handling retail purchases
Helping maintain a polished, premium salon environment
Recommending retail products and supporting client care
Keeping the day running smoothly for both clients and the team
