The Act is designed to protect trademarks, which are signs used by businesses to distinguish their goods or services from those of others. A trademark can be a word, name, logo, symbol, label, or a combination of these.

However, I have seen many counterfeit or fake products being posted and advertised online. Can the owner of a registered trademark take legal action against those who are using the trademark without the owner's authorisation?
