I thank Chairman Brian Riches, CEO Polume Lume NICTA, our Chief Censor Jim Abani, our telecommunications operators and ISPs for working together to implement the Government’s 2023 decision within the 30 day deadline to strengthen online protections for children and families.

I also acknowledge Pastor Matt Allen, who has been a consistent advocate for stronger measures to protect children from harmful online content.

There is still more work to do, but this is an important step towards a safer digital Papua New Guinea.
