________________________________________________
In this address to the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (0:03), Prime Minister James Marape of Papua New Guinea delivers a powerful call for global unity, human rights, and environmental stewardship.

Key themes from the speech include:

1)Multilateralism and Sovereignty: Marape emphasizes the importance of the UN Charter and the need for all nations—regardless of size or wealth—to work together peacefully to address global challenges that transcend borders.

2)Human Rights and Religious Freedom: A major focus of the address is the protection of freedom of conscience, thought, and belief. Marape stresses that as a Christian nation, Papua New Guinea believes in respecting the dignity and rights of all individuals, including religious minorities, and warns against using religion or power to suppress others.

3)Environmental Responsibility: Highlighting Papua New Guinea as a custodian of vast tropical forests and marine biodiversity, he calls for urgent action on climate change. He argues that the health of the planet is a shared responsibility for the sake of future generations.

4)Leadership and Global Impact: Marape challenges leaders of major powers to exercise their influence with responsibility, noting that economic and political decisions made in powerful nations directly impact the livelihoods of people in developing countries.

He concludes by reaffirming his country's commitment to democratic values, the rule of law, and protecting the rights of its 11 million people, while praying for global peace and environmental conservation.
