👉BACKGROUND

Citrus aurantifolia, also known as Mexican or key lime, is a shrub-like evergreen tree native to tropical Southeast Asia. It produces smaller, more aromatic fruit than the related Citrus x latifolia, or Persian lime, which is more commonly available in the United States as a culinary fruit.

Lime essential oil is unique in that it is 100% bioflavonoid. Not only are bioflavonoids impressive in and of themselves, but they also help maximize the benefits of vitamin C by inhibiting its breakdown in the body. This means that Lime Essential Oil not only supports the immune system, it also stimulates the detox pathways, helping to clear the body of toxins and unwanted waste. Lime also helps with the absorption of Vitamin C, making it a versatile oil and household staple.

Lime, like other citrus oils, is a wonderful tool for emotional support! Citrus oils evoke the sense of warm, sunny, carefree days which are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. One major reason for this is because citrus oils contain the constituent Limonene, a compound that is a potent free radical scavenger. Free radicals cause oxidative stress and damage to the body at a cellular level, therefore affecting every body system. Less oxidative stress from free radicals is a key for less negative emotions.

Limonene is wonderful for boosting the mood and may increase the amount of calming neurotransmitters in the brain. When we are feeling worried, stressed or indecisive we have a difficult time accessing the right side of our brains, and citrus oils are a great tool! Citrus oils are stimulating to the right side of the brain and can help us work through these emotional blocks.

Emotionally, Lime is linked to feeling unmotivated. Apply a couple drops of Lime over your lungs to help get some motivation going and promote feelings of clarity, harmony, motivation, and positivity!

👉DAILY HABITS WITH LIME
Note: Lime Vitality and Lime are the same essential oil.

👉👉Make DIY Scented Sachets to bring a crisp, happy aroma to any area of your home.
👉👉👉½ cup uncooked rice
👉👉👉¼ cup Epsom salt
👉👉👉1 cup dried lavender buds
👉👉👉Muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approximately 5 inches long by 4 inches wide
👉👉👉30 drops Lime
👉👉👉20 drops Lavender
👉👉👉In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom salt, flower buds, and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture. Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch. Place anywhere you want to add a fresh lavender scent. Refresh your pouch every 2-3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil.

Do Essential Oils really work??
Well that would depend very largely on what essential oils you are choosing to use.
Let me explain:

"In the US there is no rating system for Essential Oils. The closest we get is an FDA requirement that in order to label a bottle of essential oils “pure” or “therapeutic grade” the contents of that bottle must contain at least 5 percent essential oil. FIVE PERCENT! 😳

ALL Essential Oils fall into one of 4 categories.
Grade A
Grade B
Grade C
Grade D

► Grade A is therapeutic, made from organically grown plants and distilled at low temperatures.

► Grade B oils are food grade, but may contain synthetics, pesticides, fertilizers, chemical extenders or carrier oils.

► Grade C oils are perfume that often contain adulterated chemicals. They usually use solvents, for example, hexane, to gain a higher yield of oil per harvest. Solvents can also be cancerous and are in many store-bought oils. They may also be diluted 80-95 percent with alcohol.

► Grade D is called “floral water,” which is aromatic only and are usually byproducts of Grade A distillation. After all the oil is pulled out, the leftover trash water is sold to companies which will fill 5 percent of the bottle with leftover water and fill the rest with carriers & label it as “pure.”

This is why the Seed to Seal Promise is so important to me.

It means that plants are hand-weeded, that oils are used as pest control on plants, the plants are harvested at PEAK time, and go through a rigorous testing process.
