Right now, cars are lining up at gas stations. If this keeps going… soon it won’t just be cars. Countries might start lining up for fuel too.

Kinda crazy to think about. Are we really ready for that?

Let us be kind, because sometimes kindness is the only enjoyment some people ever receive in their lifetime.

Do you know how many women—how many mothers—find comfort in eating? Sometimes, those few bites of food or sips of coffee are the only moments of peace in a day filled with endless responsibilities. It is not just about hunger; it is about taking a breath in the midst of chaos.

Between school drop-offs, work deadlines, household chores, and the constant demands of family life, mothers rarely get a break. So when we finally find a moment—whether it’s sitting in the car after grocery shopping or taking a quick pause between errands—we savor it. We pull over, take a bite, sip our coffee, and gather the strength to keep going.

Yet, despite all that mothers do, society is quick to judge. Women, especially mothers, are often criticized for their weight or appearance, as if their bodies exist only for public approval. What many fail to understand is that motherhood itself changes a woman’s body in ways that go far beyond weight gain.

Pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding take a physical toll. Hormonal changes, lack of sleep, stress, and the constant rush of responsibilities make it difficult to prioritize fitness the way society expects. Many mothers eat on the go, often finishing their children’s leftovers instead of sitting down for a proper meal. Emotional eating also becomes a comfort when exhaustion, stress, and overwhelming responsibility set in.

But should a mother’s worth be measured by her figure? Absolutely not. A mother’s body is a testament to love, sacrifice, and strength. It carries the marks of nurturing life, the sleepless nights, the energy spent giving to others.

So yes, sometimes, all we get is five minutes of peace—a stolen moment to eat, breathe, and recharge before continuing the never-ending cycle of motherhood. And in those moments, we should not feel guilty or ashamed. Instead, we should honor the incredible work we do every single day.

To every mother out there: Eat. Rest. Take your moment. Your body is not defined by a number on a scale—it is defined by the love, care, and strength that make you who you are.
