In her message, 𝗚𝗼𝘃. 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 emphasized the true essence of 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲:

"My humble request to our dear elected officials: Please do away with patronage politics and focus on service. Please be reminded of the promises you made—not to your parties, but to the people to whom you passionately offered yourselves in service."

Among the key matters discussed were the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 (𝗣𝗗𝗜𝗣), priority projects under the 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 (𝗔𝗜𝗣), regional economic performance, and coordinated measures to strengthen Cebu's defenses against 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 (𝗔𝗦𝗙).

One message stood out during the gathering:

"You are not under me. You are all with me. Kuyog tang tanan to give Cebu the best."

The remarkable achievement of the 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗠𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗦) 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 at the 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 is a proud moment not only for Medellin but for the entire Province of Cebu.

Their success is a testament to what can be achieved through 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. Competing with newly acquired robotics kits, these young innovators proved that Cebuano students can excel and compete with the best in the country.

This milestone also highlights the importance of 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. When government, schools, teachers, parents, and local communities work together, our youth are empowered to reach greater heights and pursue innovation with confidence.

Social media has become a powerful part of our daily lives. It can educate, inspire, and connect people—but it can also expose our children to negativity, hostility, and online bullying if left unchecked.

Governor 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗦. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 reminds us of an important responsibility:

"Bantayan nato ang atong mga anak, especially in social media karon. The atmosphere is angry kaayo, especially with the presence aning mga trolls. It is creating an atmosphere of animosity in social media."

As parents, guardians, educators, and members of the community, let us take an active role in guiding our children—not only in the real world but also in the digital world. Let us teach them to use social media with 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, history was made as Cebu held its 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, bringing together thousands of members of the 𝗟𝗚𝗕𝗧𝗤𝗜𝗔+ 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 in a celebration of diversity, respect, and inclusion.

Beyond the colorful parade and festive atmosphere, the event carried a meaningful message—that every Cebuano deserves to be treated with 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, regardless of who they are.

During the send-off at the 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹, Governor 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 reaffirmed the Provincial Government's commitment to inclusive public service through the 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿, which seeks to ensure 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 for all Sugboanons.

Her message was simple yet meaningful:

"Diri sa Probinsya sa Sugbo, walay Cebuano nga mabiyaan. Everyone is included."

At 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗔𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻, we believe that a stronger Cebu is built when every member of the community is given the opportunity to live with 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.
