Thank you to our new SUKI who purchased 60pcs of our "Biasong or Suha" via MAXIM Delivery.
freshly picked from our backyard garden.🍋
Biasong was named after the small-flowered papeda, Citrus macroptera var. micrantha.
Scientific Name: Micrantha
The small-fruited papeda, endemic in Cebu and Bohol, is a shrubby tree with slender branches and has a distinct fragrance.
In Mindanao, we use biasong to add flavor and fragrance of "KINILAW" recipe.
Hopfully soon to reproduce from branches grafted rooted biasong...🌱

Our biggest tree (FIRE TREE) in the backyard has fallen by strong typhoon Odette but thankful to God for protecting us and our neighborhoods away from any destructions. It falls down in a vacant area!!!
Praise God for the love and protection!

Air drying my Holy Basil🌱
My simple steps for Air drying:
1. Pick/ Cut/ Wash fresh basil leaves
2. Check and banish unworthy leaves.
3. Prepare clip hangers or a rope.
4. Take good leaves and clip it to hanger or tie them in string. Then hang it up!!!
5. Air drying will take 3 to 4 weeks.
🌱How do I know if my basil has dried properly?
👉The test to see if you're basil is ready for storage / cooking is to break one of the leaves between your fingers - if it's nice and crunchy and breaks easily it's done. If not give it another week and try again.
After 4 weeks (or thereabouts) your basil will have dried beautifully and be ready to be stored away in a good clean jar or a ziplock plastic.
