Mary Jane Dimaukom Andongan's journey is a powerful narrative of resilience and empowerment. As a devoted mother of four children, married to a construction worker who also drives a payong payong as a sideline income, Mary Jane's life is a testament to perseverance and determination.

Despite facing financial hardships, Mary Jane's talent in tailoring shines through as she skillfully creates a range of items including pillowcases, bed sheets, curtains, bags, and dresses. The challenges her family encountered, leading to her eldest daughter having to forego her education and marry early, only strengthened Mary Jane's resolve to provide for her family.

In 2022, a turning point came for the family with the assistance of the Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan Program of the Ministry of Social Services and Development.

Mary Jane became one of the beneficiaries of the Unlad Program in Barangay Kabengi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao adel Sur receiving a BSKP seed capital of Php 15,000 and a monthly rice subsidy of Php 1,200.

Empowered by the program's support, Mary Jane made strategic investments by purchasing another sewing machine, canvases, and a complete set of needles and threads. This enabled her to expand her projects, creating a variety of items that further boosted their income and well-being. The program's impact was profound, leading to positive outcomes such as her eldest daughter being able to return to school.

With her growing income from the tailoring business, Mary Jane seized the opportunity to diversify her ventures by venturing into making banana chips. Her training by the UN-FAO in banana chip production exemplifies her eagerness to explore new avenues for economic growth and empowerment, showcasing her unwavering spirit of entrepreneurship and determination in the face of adversity.

Full force in attendance, the Municipal Social Welfare Office Mrs. Nina Jawharah T. Usman, RSW, MPA led the delegates of the Ministry of Social Services and Development on the 2024 first semestral barangay assemblies in Brgy. Elian and Madia together with her Social Welfare Officer I- Mr. Al-usarie Abdulgani, RSW; Social Welfare Assistant- Mrs Bongaida Lidasan, RN and parasocial workers today.

The team got the opportunity to present and explain the MSSD programs and services and how to avail them. Updates on the status of MSSD program implementation were given by the MSWO. Mrs. Bongaida introduced and explain the qualification for the pilot testing of the newly created program tagged as Dakila, a program that provides monthly stipend of Php 1000 for solo parents. Mr. Al-usarie Abdulgani on the other hand, spoke about the Bangsamoro Critical Assistance in Response to Emergency Situations (B-CARES) program, providing an overview of the program and identifying who can benefit from it.

Lasty, the MSWO, provided synthesis on the programs discussed by her colleagues.

The residents of the Municipality of Datu Saudi Ampatuan were well informed and appreciative of the MSSD-DATU SAUDI AMPATUAN programs update.

The MSWO of Datu Saudi Ampatuan actively participated in distinct barangay assemblies in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao Del Sur, with the primary goal of updating the municipality's citizens about the services and programs offered through MSSD-Datu Saudi Ampatuan. She also provided an update on the status of the different programs' current beneficiaries.

Part of the Child Friendly Local Governance Audit ( CFLGA), the MSSD DSA speaheaded an Orientation on Standards abd Guidelines on Recognition and Granting Permit of Child Development Centers in Datu Saudi Ampatuan last February 6, 2024 at MDRRM conference room, municipal compound, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, MDS.

Two (2) resource persons were invited and shared their knowledge and expertise- Mrs Shahani T. Mohamad and Zahara Blo who are both Registered Social Workers. This one day orientation was participated by CDC workers, BArangay Health Workers and Brgy chairpersons.

This training prepares all the CdW and barangay chairpersons on the audito of CFLGA.

Ang MSSD Datu Saudi Ampatuan ay naglunsad ng isang lingo massage training para sa mga Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan Program benepisyaryo nito mula kahapon, ika- 12 ng Pebrero hanggang ika- 18 ng Pebrero, 2024 sa GAD building, Municipal Compound, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao Del Sur.

Labing pito o 17 katao ang sumali at tinuturuan ng foot reflex, body massage and bio cupping theraphy.

Inaasahan n magiging bihasa sa pagmamasahe ang mga kalahok at nang sa ganun ay matulungan sila magkaroon ng dagdag kita pangkabuhayan.

Maliban sa pagmamasahe ay tuturuan din sila ng MSSD ng pag-gawa ng ointment n syang gagamitin nila sa pagmamasahe.

Mula sa bayan ng Datu Saudi Ampatuan, lubos n nagpapasalamat ang mga Benepesyaryo sa mga skills training at kapital n binibigay ng ahensya.

Kaugnay po sa mga balitang kumakalat n meron partnership program ang maharlikan daawa sa aming ahensya ay wala pong katotohanan po yan. Ang SLP program po isang nationally funded progran at tanging municipal link at PDO po ng SLP ang nag-iidentify ng beneficiary at tanging kami lang po sa MSSD ang nagbibigay ng form at wala pong bayad po yung form. Libre po yan basta po ang beneficiary ay qualified, pagraduate n membro ng 4ps.

As of now po, wala pong katotohanan n meron kami inimplenent n programa in partnership with Maharlikan Daawa.
