Sunday’s stillness in motion.

It has been seven days since Storm Basyang unleashed its wrath on Iligan. Going around the city, the aftermath is heartbreaking—families homeless, covered in mud, and starving. No one was spared; homes, schools, and bridges were all battered. The shortage of basic needs like food, water, and clothes is alarming, and the victims desperately need more.

​My family and I were also victims of the storm, but thankfully, we were spared the worst. Because of this, we didn't wait. Since Day 1, we have been extending help and immediately distributing food meals. I don't have much, but I know exactly how it feels to have nothing, so we shared what we could.

​I am deeply thankful to my supportive friends and family who backed me up in this effort. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the neighboring cities, municipalities, and private entities who sent aid during our darkest hour. Iliganons will never forget your kindness.
