MARK ASHLEY FAJARDO TURNS PRO, JOINS SANMAN

READ: Talisay City boxing standout Mark Ashley Fajardo has officially turned professional after signing with Jim Claude Manangquil's Sanman Boxing in partnership with Roy Cuico. The Southeast Asian Games bronze medalist, regarded alongside world silver medalist Jay Bryan Baricuatro as one of Cebu's most decorated amateur boxers, will campaign in the super lightweight and welterweight divisions and is set to make his pro debut in October.

"Naka desisyon ko nga sugdan na nako akoang pro boxing journey kay gusto ko mahimong world champion, in God's will, puhon," Fajardo said. His signing further bolsters Sanman Boxing's elite roster, which includes former two-division world champion Marlon Tapales, Sem Japet Enano, unbeaten prospect Criztian Pitt Laurente, and world title contender Joey Canoy.

Fajardo capped a stellar amateur career with a bronze medal in the men's 69-kilogram division at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand and another bronze at the 2024 ASBC Asian U22 and Youth Boxing Championships in Kazakhstan. Now in the paid ranks, the Talisay City native hopes to build on his decorated amateur résumé and fulfill his dream of becoming a world champion.
