I don't know about you, but I love some good sweets.

That's why I only trust Miam Sweets for all of my customized cakes for special occasions. They are affordable, freshly baked, and delicious. Plus, they look amazing! I've been Miam Sweets' client for a couple of years now.

For more son's birthday, I requested a number 3 pull-apart cupcakes with the theme under the sea and a small cake with an orca. When I saw the cakes, I was amazed and my son loved all the sea creatures.

I'm one happy Mama.

I just love Japanese food! I can never have enough: sashimi, sushi, gyoza, ramen, tonkatsu. That's why I'm so glad my hubby discovered this gem. He bought from them when I was craving sashimi (when they were still located in front of Malolos Convention Center).

When they moved (closer to us yay!), we made sure to visit them in their new location. I love that their new store is spacious though parking might be challenging.

Top picks:
Salmon sashimi (fave!)
Tonkatsu
Bento meal A
Classic takoyaki

Visit them at Grandtown Village, McArthur Highway, Malolos, Bulacan for your sushi fix!

Haven't been active for a while because I've been focusing on improving my health (and that includes disconnecting from social media).
I've been practicing being more intentional in posting and being more careful in sharing my thoughts. As the saying goes, “Watch your thoughts for they become words. Watch your words because they become actions. Watch your actions because they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character.”
I’ll be sharing more about the things that bring me joy, and that includes food (always).
If there’s one restaurant I want to go back to so I can try other items on the menu, it’s Chef Eli Carte Restaurant. In April, we chanced upon this place after celebrating my birthday weekend in Tagaytay. We just chose to eat at this restaurant at random because we were already so hungry and we don’t want to stop over anymore in Manila.
I love the interiors at Chef Eli’s restaurant. It looks very posh. And the staff was courteous, very accommodating, and very attentive to us. Such a pity I wasn’t able to take any (pics). It’s hard to take photos when you have a toddler on the verge of a meltdown with you (lol). Sharing the 2 food photos I did manage to take: Mushroom Soup and Cheeseburger (two items which are always a hit for me).
Here’s to hoping we can take one more trip to Tagaytay before the year ends!

Big, hearty breakfast: coffee, hot choco, pancakes, french toast, sausages, bacon, eggs, rice, and fish. 😍

Finally got to visit this lovely, small, neighborhood cafe. First time we tried to dine here, there was already a group inside so we opted to go to another cafe.
This time, we were the first one on the scene. Yes! Since we have E with us, we ordered a waffle with peanut butter (Adele on the menu), chocolate chip cookie, french toast for me, and a waffle breakfast platter for hubby. The platter came with free juice so we just added iced chocolate for E (always a safe bet for our picky eater).
We love everything we ordered! The waffles and the french toast are a big hit. Cookie is jist okay. Iced chocolate not too sweet, so another plus.
Cons: no parking and the place is really small. Can comfortably seat 6 people, 10 people at most.
Venue: ⭐⭐ (only because it's small but the place is clean and neat. Very instagrammable.)

We'll definitely come back to try their pasta and other drinks.

(Black) Saturday brunch at Casie's Restaurant.
Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Price: Prepare around P600 for a meal for 2.
We absolutely love their staff! Very accommodating and perceptive to the needs of customers. We'll go back for sure just for that alone.
We ordered Quattro Formaggio, Lasagna, Salmon Gratin, Chicken Alfredo, and Strawberry Shake. We loved the pizza and pasta, but found the salmon and chicken meh. Salmon was a bit dry, and the chicken just wasn't to our taste. They have big serving and we're actually full just from the pizza and pasta.
Overall, it's great value for money and we'll be back to try other dishes.

The start of the year has been a bit rough for our family, so I was itching to go out and take a little breather just before Valentine's (and while we still have natural immunity from the virus).
I searched for quaint cafe near us and discovered Mi Fiore Cafe which is just 5 minutes from our place.
There was a family of 4 when we got there, so we stayed outdoors while waiting for them to finish (we didn't have to wait long). As we were with our 2-year old who's a bit of a picky eater, we just ordered pancakes, ham and cheese omelette, iced chocolate, and iced caramel (for me).
Place is IG-worthy. Food is ok, affordable, plated well, and serving is just right. Staff is friendly (took a photo of us for their socials). All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely come back to try other items from their menu.
