JUST IN: Three personnel of the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) have been relieved from their post following a controversial incident at the EDSA Busway last Friday, February 7.

PNP-HPG spokesperson PLt. Nadame Malang confirmed to ABS-CBN News that the relieve order took effect on February 7, involving two non-commissioned officers and one police-commissioned officer.

The three HPG personnel are now in floating status while the investigation is on going, Malang said.

The PNP-HPG has since clarified PNP Chief PGen. Rommel Marbil had no involvement in the incident and that the statement made by the HPG officer was merely his personal opinion, not an official directive from the organization. | via Jessie Cruzat, ABS-CBN News
