Stop trying to be the “nice boss.”
Not because kindness is wrong.
But because leadership is not about being liked.
Maraming founder ang gustong maging “good boss.”
Yung walang nagagalit.
Yung walang naiilang.
Yung lahat comfortable.
Pero habang pinoprotektahan mo ang harmony,
may ibang bagay na nasisira.
Deadlines get ignored.
Rules get bent.
Standards get negotiated.
And slowly, your authority weakens.
Hindi mo napapansin.
Pero napapansin ng team mo.
Kapag may mali,
walang consequence.
Kapag may kulang,
may extension.
Kapag may attitude problem,
may understanding.
At kapag nakita nila ‘yan,
mag-aadjust sila.
Not to your standards.
But to your tolerance.
Let’s be clear.
Rather than being liked by everyone,
set clear expectations
Instead of having soft standards to keep peace,
consistently enforce them, and be firm
Hindi ka kailangan mahalin ng team mo.
Kailangan ka nilang pagkatiwalaan.
At ang trust,
hindi galing sa pagiging mabait.
Galing sa pagiging consistent.
