Got my Matcha Green Tea from Cedar Alley. Ready for Matcha Creamy Clay mask 🍃🍵
Matcha is a form of green tea that is farmed and processed in a specific way that helps preserve its antioxidant content. It’s known to have a higher concentration of EGCG than other forms of green tea, which makes it an appealing ingredient for both foods and cosmetics.
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the powerhouse antioxidant in green tea that’s believed to be responsible for its many health and appearance-improving benefits, both when consumed orally and applied topically.

In this toner the secondary ingredients is Ethyl Alcohol which is poor performer and can cause extreme dryness & sensitivity to your skin. Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is more stable than kojic acid which is good, however studies shown that it is less effective than the kojic acid. The product used multiple active ingredients like glycolic acid AHA as an expoliator and not advisable for daily use. Also contain Ascorbic Acid as antioxidant which is ok however if added to a formulation with more active ingredients like AHA will stress your skin's and alter the functions.
If you have oily skin, acne prone skin, dry skin you need to avoid products with multiple active ingredients and alcohol( different from ceteryl alcohol and cethyl alcohol which are good in formulation)
Looking for a mild cleanser? I'm not a fan of st. Ives brand but I like how they formulated the Chamomile Facial cleanser, I'm happy because it is fragrance free and used only one mild surfactant which is Cocamidopropyl Betaine. The formolation is perfect for daily use. However double cleansing is required if you wearing heavy makeups and waterproof sunscreen.

Sleeping mask will be the last step of your skincare routine up to two times a week. Sleeping Mask act as barrier to avoid moisture lost and deliver extra hydration overnight. However sleeping mask is not consider as necessary in skincare routin and can be categorized as add-on. Meaning if you have extra coins to buy or you get it free, then why not, but you can still have beautiful and healthy skin without it, a powerful moisturizer or cream will do.
Sleeping mask in the picture is Innisfree green tea sleeping mask. the formulation is great, it does delivered extra hydration to the skin and it contain green tea leaf extract which is a good source of antioxidant. The only thing that I dont like in the product is its not fragrance free.

The most important part of skin care routine is sunscreen because that will protect our skin from possible damaging effect of the sun. Cleanser, treatment, Serum and moisturizer are useless if you don't put sunscreen.
One of the affordable and working sunscreen that I'd saw in the market is JeJu Sunblock of the Korean brand Fresh. The formulation are very suitable for light to deep tone skin as it not create white color coating on the skin. It is also formulated with good chemical and mineral sunscreen agent such as Titanium Dioxide and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. the formulation does included diffrent good moisturizing and hydrating agent such Sodium Hyalruronate, caprylic/capric triglyceride & Betain. The chosen preservatives are also good because they are not only act as preservative but also an emollient.
Two more tips when buying sunscreen please choose SPF30 up to 50 that are the required SPF to protect skin. Do not buy those brand claiming for SPF higher than 50 because until now there are no proofs or evidence for such higher SPF.

How to spot a good skin care product. First thing you need to do is to look for the ingredients. A good skin care product must not contain harsh chemical substance such as essential oils, fragrances and strong surfactants.
if you are worry about how you will know the informaton of each ingredients, I would suggest the website Paulas choice, just put along the word you want to search with the word "paulas choice" eg.( glycerin paulas choice) and you will get the information you want. Another things you might need to know is ingredients are listed from the high concentration to lowest.
Soon I will create a video to discuss every single ingredients and how it affect the fomula and our skin.

Ok guys me again! Just browsing in the internet and saw a lot of DIY tips on how to exfoliate your skin🤔 but wait, wait! They said you can use sugar, salt, coffee grounds, baking soda, seeds and what so ever for your face?. Please guys have mercy to your skin😖.
To maintain a glow and beautiful skin, we must keep our skin well exfoliated regularly. What is exfoliating: "Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin thru Physical or chemical exfoliator.
Many blog post suggestion is physical expoliator using sugar and what ever stuff you can find in the kitchen. I will breakdown each and tell you why you should not use it as exfoliator for your face.
1. Sugar, coffee, oats, seeds or any powdered stuff at your kitchen are said to be a good exfoliator, well yes! It can exfoliate, however the point is it can also scratch and damage your skin. It can cause micro tears on your face, a term use for micro wounds due to sharp edges of sugar or what so ever powder you used as exfoliator.
2. Baking Soda is alkaline, high ph level can damage skin's acid mantle our protective barrier against pollution and outside invaders.
3. Salt is highly comedogenic and can clog your pores then become imflamation and breakouts.
4. Apple cider Vinegar, oh my god! please have mercy to your skin. Apple cider is too acidic and can actually burn your skin, guys burning is different from exfoliating.
5. Milk and fruits purees, do not put foods on your face. The chances of gettting it's nutrients is impossible, better to eat that stuff. Other thanthat residue of the purees will attract bacteria and fungus build up that can irritate your skin.
So what I will use for my face as exfoliator?
You have two options, one use chemical exfoliator and two forget about exfoliating your skin.🤭
I will recommend chemical exfoliator such as AHA & BHA because they are more gentle, effective and safe for your skin.🤩
AHA refer to Alpha Hydroxy Acid such as Glycolic Acid 5% & Lactic acid 10%.
BHA refer to Beta Hydroxy Acid like Salicylic Acid at 1-2%

Which is better for skin care, essential oil or fragrance oil? Absolutely none!
First of all essential oils are very active and powerful substance and considered toxic. toxic attack living cells, some of them are phototoxic which make your skin sensitive to sunlight and cause irritation. On the other hand the fragrance oil is syntheticaly made from different chemical subtance that potentially harmful to your skin. If you have acne prone skin, oily skin and sensitive skin or even the normal skin type generally are advisable to avoid product containing either of the two subtances.
However, if you are comfortable with your skin care product with fragrance and have no problem with it, well that's good for you but consider to lessen the product you use containing fragrance and try to incorporate atleast half of the skin care routine with fragrance free products.
I would enjoy essential oil in the diffuser instead. They are lovely and mood changer that completely put me from stressed to relaxed state.
