Today, I broke down in the operating room.

My patient… her very first pregnancy came in with gestational diabetes, adhesion, and endometriosis.
The complications on the table were overwhelming… at one point, I had to step aside, breathe, and gather myself before returning.

The surgery lasted six long hours.
Complication upon complication.
And in the end, the only way to save her life was to remove her womb.
Imagine that… her first chance at motherhood came with a price so heavy that it broke everyone in that theater.

Women are truly warriors in silence.
They carry life, yet in doing so, they risk their own.
