Thread and Tide

A single thread can’t hold the sea,
Yet water wears the strongest rope;
Soft persistence sets us free,
And weaves a path through endless hope.

The quiet drop will carve the stone,
Though fragile fibers strain and bend;
No silent struggle stands alone,
Where patient rivers turn and wend.

For currents pull against the strand,
And tension tests what we design;
Yet gentle tides re-shape the land,
While quiet courage holds the line.

So let the waters rise and fall,
And let the fraying edges hold;
The softest flow outlives it all,
To weave a story yet untold.
