MMDA and Partners Develop Road Safety Plan for Metro Manila 2024-2028
The MMDA, along with key partners, held a three-day meeting to draft the Metro Manila Road Safety Action Plan (MMRSAP) 2024-2028. The plan aims to reduce road crash fatalities by 35% by 2028, focusing on road safety management, safer roads, vehicles, users, and post-crash response. Supported by the DOTr, WHO Philippines, and The Policy Center (TPC), the initiative comes amid alarming statistics, with an average of 410 deaths yearly. Stakeholders from various agencies and LGUs contributed to the plan's development, working toward safer roads and a livable metro.
