TRANS CONGRESS 2026

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Mujer Mujer-LGBT Organization ., in collaboration with the IBP Zambasulta, the Gender and Development of Zamboanga City, and the City Health Office of Zamboanga, with support from Babaylanes, Inc., will convene Trans Congress 2026 on March 30, 2026 at KCC Mall de Zamboanga.

The Congress aims to serve as a strategic platform for advancing discourse on critical issues affecting the transgender community. It will feature discussions on policy development, legal frameworks and protections, and the delivery of inclusive and gender-affirming healthcare services. Furthermore, the event seeks to examine persistent gaps and emerging challenges, promote a deeper understanding of gender diversity, and strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration in support of the rights, dignity, and well-being of trans individuals.

As we march in strength and solidarity, we honor women who shaped history and continue to inspire change.

This award recognizes the participant who most convincingly portrays a famous woman icon — capturing her 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤, 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 with authenticity and impact.

Each participating contingent must present 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 during the parade.

The Putik Barangay Council and incoordination with City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) FO IV, Ms. Susan L. Flores and Ms. Sharleen T. Debuayan conducted orientation on RA 9262 (VAW-C) and RA 11596 or an Act of Prohibiting the Practice of Child Marriage actively participated by Putik Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) members.
