Celebration of "International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking" 26th June 2023.
An awareness walk followed by an awareness seminar was organized by collaboration of all stakeholders from different Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations.

Awareness Seminar on "Methods and Techniques of Drugs Prevention" at Superior University Faisalabad Campus.
Chairman Dept. Of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Faisalabad Medical University Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Dogar, Medical Social Officer Model Drug Abuse Centre, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad Aamir Pervez, General Secretary Anjuman Insdad e Munshiat Anwar Khan and ANF team delivered lectures to sensitize participants about the harms of drug addiction.

Celebration of "World No To***co Day 31 May 2023" by Model Drug Abuse Centre in collaboration with Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad and Maimar Development Organization. Awareness walk and seminar was organized at this occasion. Ex- MPA Ms.Najma Afzal, Chairman Department of Psychiatry Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Dogar, Medical Social Officer MDAC Aamir Pervez, senior psychiatrists, psychologists, members from Civil Servis Organizations and large number of students attended the event.

Visit of Worthy Secretary Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Punjab Mr. Zahoor Hussain at DHQ Hospital Faisalabad. Worthy Secretary visited Model Drug Abuse Centre and spent time with patients suffering from Drug Addiction.
Chairman Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Dogar and Medical Social Officer Aamir Pervez briefed the Secretary about services provided for detoxification, treatment and rehabilitation of patients of Drug Addiction.
Worthy Secretary appreciated the collaboration of Health Department, SW Department and NGOs for improved service delivery. He also appreciated Bio,Psycho, Social Model being offered for treatment of drug addicts at MDAC.

Eid ul Fitar was celebrated by Model Drug Abuse Centre, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad with the patients of drug addiction in Fatima Ward, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad.
Worthy Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Mr. Ali Anan Qamar was the chief guest at this occasion. Sweets and gifts were distributed at this occasion. CEO Health Faisalabad Dr. Asfand Yar, CO Muncipal Corporation Faisalabad, Deputy Director Social Welfare Faisalabad Ms. Amna Alam, Medical Social Officer Rai Aamir Pervez, Medical Superintendent, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad Dr. Ghulam Sarwar and General Secretary Anjuman Insdad e Munshiat Anwaar Khan were also present at this occasion.

All about Model Drug Abuse Centre, DHQ Hospital Faisalabad :
Model Drug Abuse Centre (MDAC) was establihed in 1985 with the purpose to provide free of cost treatment, detoxification and rehabilitation services to patients suffering from Substance Use Disorder (commonly called patients of Drug Addiction).
This is the only public sector centre in Faisalabad and Sargodha Division with both indoor and outdoor facilities.
A team of highly committed professionals led by Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Dogar, Chairman Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is working for treatment and rehabilitation of patients using bio, psycho, social model.
Patients are provided with different services like Detoxification, Individual and Group Counselling Sessions, Religious Therapies, Indoor and Outdoor Games and Exercises.
Anjuman Insdad e Munshiat (Registered NGO with Social Welfare Department) is also working in close collaboration with Model Drug Abuse Centre for drugs prevention through arranging awareness seminars in educational institutions.
