Online Orientation Session Conducted!
EPI-Sindh successfully conducted an online orientation session with District Focal Persons (DFPs) across Sindh, with the active participation of EPI core team members, to orient them on training SOPs, roles, and responsibilities for the upcoming new recurited's Vaccinators’ Training Programme.
The session focused on the orientation and onboarding of facilitators and monitors, ensuring standardized, high-quality training for newly inducted vaccinators across the province.
The training initiative is supported by UNICEF, with technical support from Aga Khan University, reflecting strong collaboration to strengthen immunization capacity in Sindh.

EPI-Sindh | HPV Vaccine Now Part of Routine Immunization Programme | Official Announcement!

As per official notifications of EPI-Sindh & Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI), the HPV vaccine has been formally included in the Routine Immunization Programme and is available FREE from 1st January 2026 ONLY for 9-year-old girls through:
1. All EPI Centers
2. EPI Outreach Vaccination Sites
3. School-Based Vaccination Sessions

Best Performance Vaccination Recognition Ceremony 2025!
The Best Performance Vaccination Recognition Ceremony was successfully conducted today at the Sindh Boy Scouts Association Auditorium, Karachi, to honor outstanding vaccinators for their exceptional performance during year 2025.
The ceremony was held under the leadership of worthy **Dr. Raj Kumar, Project Director, EPI Sindh,* along with the Additional Project Director, EPI Sindh.
Distinguished guests included representatives from UNICEF, Gavi and the EPI core team.
Certificates and souvenirs were awarded to best-performing vaccinators from all 30 districts of Sindh, recognizing their dedication, commitment, and tireless efforts in protecting children through vaccination.

Data Review & Coordination Meeting!
A productive and forward-looking meeting was successfully conducted today at the EPI Hall, with participation from the EPI Sindh team and core partners, including UNICEF, WHO, and BMGF partners.
The meeting was held in alignment with the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination and the National Institute of Health under the National Digital Health Harmonization (NDHH) initiative, which aims to harmonize health data across provinces, regions, and specialized health programs for timely analytics and improved governance.
Valuable technical inputs were shared by Dr. Zain Dr. Adnan (Statistical Officer, EPI Sindh),Mr.suneel (UNICEF) and Dr. Ahsaan (BMGF) focusing on data review, coordination, and strengthening immunization performance across Sindh.

Data Review Meeting – 23 December 2025!
The EPI-Sindh Data Review Meeting was successfully conducted on 23 December 2025 under the leadership of *Dr. Raj Kumar, Project Director, EPI Sindh,* along with Dr. Sohail Raza Shaikh, Additional Deputy Director, EPI Sindh.
The meeting brought together EPI-Core team members, all partners,WHO, UNICEF IRD representatives, and EPI consultants to review immunization performance and plan strategic actions for improved outcomes across Sindh.

EPI-Sindh | Strengthening HPV Vaccination through Partnerships!
The Lessons Learned & Way Forward Workshop with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) was successfully held on 10 December 2025 at Ramada Plaza, organized by Jhpiego with the support of EPI Sindh.
The session brought together WHO, UNICEF, Gavi, Mannion Daniels (MD) and CSO partners to review post-campaign progress, share field experiences, address misinformation, and strengthen coordination for HPV routinization in Sindh.
Together, we are protecting adolescent girls and advancing cervical cancer prevention across the province. 💙

EPI-Sindh Provincial Consultation Workshop on HPV Routinization!
EPI-Sindh has successfully concluded the Provincial Consultation on HPV Routinization, held in collaboration with Jhpiego at the EPI Sindh Conference Room.
The consultation convened a wide range of experts and stakeholders, including representatives from SOGP, RMNCH, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Education, Health, and leading CSOs such as AMAAN, Indus, Vital, HELP, and Shifa. Development partners WHO, UNICEF, IRD, Gavi, the Gates Foundation, along with EPI provincial teams, actively participated—demonstrating a strong, shared commitment to cervical cancer prevention in Sindh.
Key highlights of the session included:
🔹 Comprehensive review of the proposed HPV routinization strategy
🔹 Global lessons through LMIC case studies
🔹 Group work on delivery models: school-based, facility-based, and mixed approaches
🔹 In-depth discussions across five thematic areas:
• Service Delivery & Microplanning
• Communication, Community Engagement & Social Mobilization
• Monitoring, Reporting & Data Systems
• Costing, Supplies & Human Resources
• Partnerships & Coordination
The consultation was honored by the leadership of PD Dr. Raj Kumar, APD Dr. Sohail Raza Shaikh, Deputy PD Dr. Khalil Memon, and Dr. Arslan, and was expertly facilitated by Jhpiego’s Dr. Ejaz, Dr. Rashid, Dr. Irfana, along with the provincial team.
This collaborative milestone marks a significant step toward institutionalizing HPV vaccination in Sindh, ensuring long-term protection for adolescent girls and advancing Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating cervical cancer.
