Why do we end up gaining more weight in the month of Ramadan ?
Why don't we feel/get Healthy in the month of Ramadan ?
Following are the reasons you end up gaining more weight in Ramadan :
- Your diet is full of processed and sugary foods.
- Your Sehri is loaded with Parathas and Gravies that are cooked in heavy amounts of Oils and mostly Unhealthy Oils.
- Your Iftaar meal is Heavy and mainly consists of Processed foods like Oily Samosas,Fried Items,Processed flour items,Sugary Drinks,Processed Meats,Added sugars in Fruit Chaats,Extra Spicy masalas in your Channa Chaats,Your sauces are made with unhealthy ingredients and are full of sugars.
- Your drinks contain immense amount of Sugars and aritifical flavours.
- Your foods are calorie dense and they contain little to Zero Nutritional Values.
- You over consume calories with all the unhealthy foods and your body get deprived from all the required nutritonal content.
- Processed and Sugary foods crashes your insulin levels and you feel weakness and lethargy right after your iftaar meal.
- Your protein intake is low and your diet lacks healthy protein sources.

Poor nutrition adversely impacts the physical and cognitive development of children. More than 40% of Pakistani children under the age of 5 years have stunted growth. This occurs due to the lack of iron and other micronutrients in a child's body. In developing countries like Pakistan, food fortification is the most sustainable way to ensure children receive the micronutrients needed for healthy growth and development as iron deficiency can cause impaired tissue function and can lead to anemia. Iron-fortified milk is one of the main ways that young children can increase their daily intake. Iron-fortified milk and milk powders for children under the age of 5 must be encouraged and promoted.

A Healthy individual can lose upto 0.8 - 1 kg of fats per week by following a balanced weight loss diet and daily workout routine.
That's the natural tedency of the body and you can't exceed it.

Everyone wants to lose Fats but they want it fast.
