The UN Human Rights Council has called on Israeli authorities to immediately and unconditionally release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, stating that his detention constitutes arbitrary detention under international law. The Council also stressed the need to protect medical personnel and urged the international community to press for his release.
