لاہور پریس کلب کے باہر کا ایک ایسا دل دہلا دینے والا منظر جس نے اندر سے ہلا کر رکھ دیا۔ جب میں وہاں ریکارڈنگ کے لیے گیا تو پریس کلب کے دروازے کے سامنے ایک ماں کو اکیلے بیٹھے دیکھا۔ جب میں ان کے قریب گیا اور پوچھا کہ ماں جی کیا بات ہے اور آپ یہاں اکیلی کیا کر رہی ہیں، تو جو کہانی اس ماں نے سنائی وہ سن کر کسی بھی باضمیر انسان کی روح کانپ جائے۔
​ماں جی نے روتے ہوئے بتایا کہ آج سے ٹھیک تین سال پہلے ان کا شوہر قتل کر دیا گیا تھا، اور ان کا جوان بیٹا مبینہ طور پر اغوا کر لیا گیا جو آج تک واپس نہیں لوٹا۔ وہ پچھلے تین سالوں سے انصاف کی تلاش میں پولیس کے چکر کاٹ رہی ہے۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ جب وہ ڈی پی او کے پاس جاتی ہیں اور کہتی ہیں کہ میرا بیٹا ڈھونڈ کر دو، تو آگے سے ڈی پی او کہتی ہے کہ "پیسے دو، تب بیٹا ڈھونڈ کر دیں گے۔"
​بے سہارا ماں کہتی ہے کہ "نہ میرے آگے کوئی ہے اور نہ میرے پیچھے، میں غریب عورت کہاں سے پیسے لاؤں؟" اور جب بھی وہ فریاد لے کر ڈی پی او کے دفتر جاتی ہیں، تو پولیس والے انہیں دھکے دے کر دفتر سے باہر نکال دیتے ہیں۔ تین سال بیت گئے ہیں لیکن اس ماں کو انصاف نہیں ملا، وہ صرف اتنی سی التجا کرتی ہے کہ اس کا اغوا ہونے والا بیٹا اسے ڈھونڈ کر دے دیا جائے۔ ایک ماں کا یہ درد، اس کی بے بسی اور ہمارے نظام کی یہ بے حسی دیکھ کر مجھے شدید دکھ ہوا۔ اس کہانی کو زیادہ سے زیادہ شیئر کریں تاکہ اس مظلوم ماں کی آواز اعلیٰ حکام تک پہنچ سکے اور اسے انصاف مل سکے۔

​A heartbreaking and soul-crushing encounter outside the Lahore Press Club. While visiting for a recording, I noticed an elderly mother sitting all alone right outside the gate. When I went up to her and asked what was wrong, the story she shared left me completely shattered.
​With tears in her eyes, the mother revealed that three years ago, her husband was murdered, and her young son was allegedly abducted—and he still hasn't been found to this day. For the past three years, she has been running from pillar to post seeking justice. Shockingly, whenever she goes to the DPO begging for help to find her son, the response is corruption: the DPO demands, "Give us money, and only then will we find your son."
​The helpless mother cries out, "I have no one ahead of me and no one behind me; where on earth am I supposed to get money from?" Instead of offering support or investigating, the authorities repeatedly throw her out of the office with pushes and shoves. Three years of crying for justice, and all she wants is for her kidnapped son to be found. Witnessing this sheer apathy and a mother's agonizing helplessness was deeply painful.
