🚨 𝗣𝗗𝗔 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗯 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗛𝗖 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀

🚨 LAHORE: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Punjab has raised strong concerns over what it calls “unlawful and unfair” inspections by the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) in registered dental clinics across the province.

🦷 General Secretary Dr. Naseem Mansha Goraya revealed that many dental surgeons have reported harassment during these inspections — often led by newly recruited inspectors with little or no dental expertise.

💸 Questionable fines:
In one case, a clinic was fined over dental materials allegedly not approved by DRAP, even though no official DRAP-approved dental material list exists.

🤝 Call for collaboration:
PDA Punjab plans to take up this issue with PHC’s senior management, urging them to work with the dental community — not against it.

📑 Review of MSDS:
Dr. Goraya also questioned PHC’s Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS), calling for a review of its 73 indicators, which he says don’t match Pakistan’s ground realities and appear “copy-pasted” from abroad.

🗣️ Collective action:
PDA Punjab is encouraging dentists across Punjab to share their inspection experiences so that these cases can be compiled and formally presented to PHC.

No major loss reported Alhamdulillah.

In Loving Memory of Dr. Muhammad Asif

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the untimely passing of our dear colleague, Dr. Muhammad Asif, Dental Surgeon at DHQ Hospital Layyah. He tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident on 04.04.2025.

Dr. Asif was not only a skilled professional but also a kind soul who served his patients and community with unwavering dedication and compassion. His loss is deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing and working with him. The dental fraternity across the region mourns this immense loss.

In recognition of his services and to honor his memory, the administration of DHQ Hospital Layyah has proposed to name the Dental Department as the “Dr. Muhammad Asif Dental Department.” This tribute reflects the impact he made and the legacy he leaves behind.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
