Diabetes is a serious chronic disease.
Two out of three people with
Diabetes will die if cardiovascular _related episodes such as a heart attack or stroke .
However Diabetes can be controlled with proper medications and lifestyle changes.
Complications related to prolong high blood sugar levels includes numbness or tingling of feet and hands,heart problem,eye damage(retinopathy),nerve damage (neuropathy),
Foot damage, hearing impairment, alzheimer, kidney damage (nephropathy),and so sorry on.
What should a newly diagnosed with Diabetes eat?
1 .Eat a varied food including vegetables, whole grains, fruits, non_fat diary, healthy fats and lean meat.
2. Try not to eat too much.
3. Avoid skipping meals.
4. Try not to eat too much of one type of food.
5. Space your meals evenly throughout the day.
If newly diagnosed Diabetes,and prediabetes are discovered early, and with lifestyle changes, it is highly reversible.
Ask me how, I have patients who have adopted a healthy lifestyle changes and had stopped taking their medications.
Eating the right meal, pairing correctly, will give you satisfaction of eating, no unnecessarily sugar cravings and you will be eating satisfactorily.
