PHUKET 🇹🇭 | 6–9 Sept 2026

A short getaway filled with lots of swimming, makan, lepak & just taking things slow.

Checked into Villa Moana @ Onyx Villas for 3 nights & honestly, having our own private pool was the best decision because…SWIM, SWIM & MORE SWIM! Everyday confirm masuk pool!

We kept this trip very chill - no packed itinerary, no rushing from one place to another. Just breakfast, beach, night market, durian, seafood, jalan2 & enjoying the villa.

One of the highlights was definitely the seafood! 🦐🦀 When converted, our whole meal came up to around SGD100 only. Quite worth it leh!

Last day, since our flight was only at 8.50pm, we still managed one last beach visit, jalan around the mall, grab some souvenirs before heading to the airport.

And Phuket decided to give us some drama before balik too 😂 Our names kena called at the airport because ada powerbank inside one of the checked-in bags. Nasib managed to settle everything in time!

Then another “first” - landed in Singapore and had to turun on the tarmac and kena ferried by bus to immigration. 😂

Alhamdulillah, safely home. 🤲🏻

Nothing fancy, nothing too planned. Just lots of swimming, lots of makan and lots of lepak - exactly the kind of short getaway we needed.

Cerita nyer… my arwah father-in-law’s kebun durian dah berbuah! 🌳 My hby’s uncle bawak some durians masuk SG and told us, “Next time come & experience kutip durian sendiri!”

So of course Makcik pun ngotot lah 😂 Terus book a homestay - more like an Airbnb-style stay - at hby’s uncle’s house in Kampong Pok.

SEKALI… by the time our trip was confirmed, MONYET dah kerja kan our durians! 🐒😭😂

Takpe lah. Durian takde, kampong experience pun jadilah!

Actually I’ve been to the kebun before, but dulu kalau malam memang gelap gelita. Seram okay! 😂 This time Alhamdulillah, hby’s cousins pooled money among the siblings to make a proper road and install lamp posts along the way. So much better now.

And the house? Love love love! 😍 The kampong vibes, the surroundings, the peace…memang syiok.

But before all that, ada satu drama kat immigration. 😑
Malaysia immigration tak chop my passport!

Nasib baik Makcik memang ada habit check passport lepas immigration. Terus suruh hby park kejap and I went back to get it chopped.

Apa barangggg! 😂 So reminder ya - always check your passport before you drive off!

We went in on Saturday together with my son and his wife. Had seafood kat hujung kampong, then by late afternoon they headed back to SG because of work commitments.

Around 11pm, my anak sedara Aida and her family came to join us for the stay. We ended up staying up late, borak2 and just enjoying the kampong vibes. She loved the place too - belum balik dah plan nak datang lagi! 😂
