এশিয়ার প্রাচীনতম চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে 'প্রিয় মালতী'

জনপ্রিয় তারকা অভিনেত্রী মেহজাবীন চৌধুরীর প্রথম সিনেমা 'সাবা' নিয়ে একের পর আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে মুগ্ধতা ছড়াচ্ছে। 'সাবা'র একই পথে তার দ্বিতীয় সিনেমা 'প্রিয় মালতী'। কায়রো চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবের পর ভারতের গোয়ায় ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফিল্ম ফেস্টিভ্যাল অব ইন্ডিয়া'য় (ইফি) আমন্ত্রণ পেয়েছে সিনেমাটি।

ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফিল্ম ফেস্টিভ্যাল অব ইন্ডিয়া'র (ইফি) ৫৫ তম আসরে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করছে 'প্রিয় মালতী'। যা মেহজাবীনের জন্য অনন্য অর্জন মনে করছেন সিনেমা সংশ্লিষ্টরা।

ইফির 'সিনেমা অব দ্য ওয়ার্ল্ড' বিভাগে প্রতিযোগিতা করবে দেশের 'প্রিয় মালতী'। উৎসবের পর্দা উঠবে ২০ নভেম্বর, চলবে ২৮ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত। সেখানে পানজিম অডিটোরিয়াম-৪ এ ২৭ নভেম্বর প্রদর্শনী রয়েছে সিনেমাটির।

মেহজাবীন বলেন, 'ইফিতে “প্রিয় মালতী” সিলেক্ট হওয়ায় পুরো টিম দারুণ অনুপ্রাণিত। উৎসবে নির্বাচিত হওয়ার ব্যাপারটি মাথায় রেখে তো কাজ করি না। কিন্তু যখন সেটা নির্বাচিত হয়, তখন খুবই ভালো লাগে। বিদেশের দর্শকরা সিনেমাটি দেখতে পারছে। তবে আমার সবচেয়ে ভালো লাগবে, যখন দেশের দর্শকরা সিনেমাটি দেখতে পারবেন।'

এর আগে, মিশরের ৪৫তম কায়রো চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে প্রিমিয়ার হয়েছে 'প্রিয় মালতী'র। প্রিমিয়ারে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নির্মাতা শঙ্খ দাসগুপ্ত, অভিনেত্রী মেহজাবীন চৌধুরী, প্রযোজক আদনান আল রাজীব ও হাবিবুর রহমান তারেক। প্রদর্শনী শেষে সিনেমাটি নিয়ে কথা বলেন মেহজাবীন ও শঙ্খ।

'প্রিয় মালতী' ছবিতে মেহজাবীন ছাড়াও অভিনয় করেছেন নাদের চৌধুরী, আজাদ আবুল কালাম, শাহজাহান সম্রাট, রিজভী রিজু প্রমুখ।
