💙 THE NATURE THAT SHAPES SPA NOW NEEDS US.
Last week, around 3,000 hectares of the High Fens were affected by the largest wildfire Belgium has experienced in more than a century.
The fire is now under control.
Now, recovery begins.
The High Fens are part of the extraordinary natural landscape surrounding Spa — a region shaped by nature, thermal heritage and generations of people who live and work there.
And there are different ways to help:
Donate. Share. Visit. Support.
Spa remains open and ready to welcome you. Continuing to visit the region is also a way of supporting its communities and local economy.
🌿 Donations will help restore natural habitats and regenerate biodiversity in the High Fens.

Together today. For the High Fens of tomorrow. 💙
Did you know this? 👀
Those elegant covered walkways you see in many historic spa towns are called colonnades, and they weren’t built just to look beautiful.
They are part of the centuries-old tradition of taking the waters: places to walk, meet, rest and drink mineral water. 💧
A piece of spa culture hiding in plain sight.

Across borders, languages and cultures, there is something that continues to unite us: a shared European spirit. 🇪🇺
A spirit built through history, heritage, cooperation and human connection.
In every thermal town, every tradition and every encounter, Europe lives through the people who continue to preserve and celebrate its identity.
Today, we honour not only our diversity, but everything that brings us together.
Because Europe is not just a place on the map, it is a shared story.
Happy Europe Day from the European Historic Thermal Towns Association. 🌍🇪🇺💧
