Across borders, languages and cultures, there is something that continues to unite us: a shared European spirit. 🇪🇺

A spirit built through history, heritage, cooperation and human connection.

In every thermal town, every tradition and every encounter, Europe lives through the people who continue to preserve and celebrate its identity.

Today, we honour not only our diversity, but everything that brings us together.

Because Europe is not just a place on the map, it is a shared story.

Happy Europe Day from the European Historic Thermal Towns Association. 🌍🇪🇺💧

Thermal water is more than a natural resource.
It is a shared European heritage, shaped over centuries beneath our feet.

Each source is unique. Each drop, protected.

On this , we highlight the importance of preserving this natural resource for future generations.

An important week for EHTTA in Brussels, as we take part in the HTI Conference & Expo European Tourism Summit in the European Parliament actively contributing to key discussions on the future of health and thermal tourism in Europe.

A sincere thank you to Ivana Kolar and MEP Nikolina Brnjac for organising this key moment, alongside MEP Elena Kountoura, MEP Daniel Attard, Eduardo Santander, European Spas, and Great Spa Towns of Europe

EHTTA was represented by our President Riccardo Mortandello C.P. - Montegrotto Terme, with the Vice Presidents Isabelle Grégoire and Μάρκος Δανάς, and our Executive Director Simone Zagrodnik, together with some of our members: Séverine Philippin, Director of Thermes de Spa VisitSpa, Budapest Gyógyfürdői , Termas de Portugal, Karlovy Vary, Institut lázeňství a balneologie, Wiesbaden – deine Stadt and the Hellenic Municipality Association with Thermal Springs.

Important discussions are focusing on the need for a more coordinated European approach, addressing the current fragmentation of standards and regulations across the sector.

A shared European framework is essential to strengthen quality, improve cross-border healthcare integration, and support more resilient health systems.

The event highlights the importance of joint efforts and strong partnerships, reinforcing the need to work together to advance the health tourism sector at European level.

Another year, another … and once again thermal tourism takes the stage. ♨️

We wrap up three inspiring days, right at the heart of the Medical & Health Hall where ideas are shared, partnerships are built and the future of thermal and health tourism continues to take shape. 💧

At the EHTTA stand, we were proud to showcase some of our wonderful members: Montegrotto Terme (Italy), Baden (Switzerland), Viterbo (Italy) and Spa (Belgium), highlighting the richness and diversity of Europe’s historic thermal destinations. 🌍

Our panel discussions also brought valuable insights from across the thermal world. A big thank you to our members and partners who joined the conversation: Caldes de Montbui and the Catalan thermal Towns Association (Catalonia), Bursa (Turkey), Daruvar (Croatia) and Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), with the fantastic addition of our comms experts .hr team and .

But ITB is also about people.

✨ New connections
🤝 Meaningful conversations
🔁 And the pleasure of seeing familiar faces who stand with us year after year

Because one thing is clear:

The future of thermal and health tourism is being built between these halls.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet us and see you next year!💙
