What a joy of a project 🌊
This kids' room in a Scandinavian summer house was a blank canvas with freshly white walls throughout the whole house. So I went all in on pattern and texture: striped rug, mixed prints on the pillows, bold patterned bed covers, and rattan headboards that bring in that perfect coastal warmth.
The little dresser between the beds was transformed into a white-washed beauty with shell k***s- simple, sweet, and so fitting.
The walls got a few framed coastal art pieces, and just like that a holiday hideaway where kids can come home sandy, pockets full of rocks, and feel right at home 🐚

We layered linen, woven fibers, ceramic textures, and gentle pastel accents to create a space that feels both relaxed and refined. A place where mornings are slow, coffee tastes better, and every detail feels like summer.

Even though winter still surrounds us, I couldn’t wait to share this summer house project I designed last year. Working with this wonderful family was a true joy. The home was thoughtfully created to invite a slower pace of living, and this particular corner perfectly captures that intention, an ideal spot to light a candle, unwind, and lose yourself in a good book ✨️

Every year we return to Scandic Oceanhamnen in Helsingborg, where the kind staff greets us with stories of how guests react when they arrive at the beautifully decorated reception, restaurant, or when they wake up to a breakfast buffet wrapped in a cozy Christmas atmosphere, almost like stepping onto a movie set 🎬

There’s something about this Christmas magic that makes everyone a little more chatty, warm, and joyful. The hotel puts in such great effort to ensure their guests come back year after year to experience this feeling again. I’m incredibly thankful for all the positive feedback, and we’re truly happy to return each season. Hopefully, even more hotels will join us next year! ✨️☺️
