We’ve been quiet working behind the scenes lately, but the last week of September is shaping up to be a busy one, with all three pop-ups happening in one week plus a few other deliverables. 👀

Catch us at:
📍 Roche, 25 Sep, 11am–2pm
📍 Central Singapore Market, 26 Sep, 9am–2pm
📍 CGH Nature Festival, 29 Sep, 11am–3pm

This month’s Central Singapore Market by Central Singapore CDC holds a special place in my heart. It’s our first CSM at Pathlight School, a place I’ve been coming to for more than 10 years, so I’m really excited to be popping up there. Best of all, the market is open to the public!

Need a soap top-up before then? You can also find us at:
• The Green Collective SG | Eco @ Funan
• UnPackt Pte Ltd @ Mandai Wildlife Reserve
• NUS Multi-Purpose Co-operative , Central Forum
• Humanistic Youth Centre (HYC) Zero Market 零市集 Tzu Chi Zero Market Retail Wall, weekends only, swipe for dates

And if you’re from an organisation looking to introduce your community to a simple lower-waste swap, or planning a wellness event, drop us a DM. We’d be happy to explore something together. 🧡

What does an award actually mean for a tiny purpose-led business?

For me, it’s not about the trophy or limelight. In fact, I’d be happy staying in my studio making soaps…

I started My Naked Bar because I wanted to reach everyday Singaporeans, especially people who may not already be thinking about sustainability, but might be open to one small lower-waste swap.

The challenge is that when you’re a small, unfamiliar brand, trust isn’t a given.

Why should someone pause to notice what you do? Why should they believe what you advocate, much less give it a try?

That’s where recognition can make a difference.

Being recognised at the Resorts World Sentosa x Honeycombers Singapore Sustainability Awards 2026 gives us a little more credibility with people meeting My Naked Bar for the first time.

And if that helps more people feel confident enough to try one gentler bar, rethink one everyday habit, or make one lower-waste swap, then the award has helped us do what we set out to do in the first place.

The award isn’t the goal.

Making a bigger ripple is. 🧡

Did you managed to count??
1 on the shoulder
3 already in hand
and another 5 more…
So 9 in total!

Not sure why we collect these cartons? Check the other reel…

Still taking this in. 🧡

Last night, My Naked Bar won at the Honeycombers Sustainability Awards.

I may have been the one who walked up on stage, but this recognition really belongs to so many more people than me.

To everyone who voted, shared the voting link, sent me encouraging messages or simply cheered me on, thank you. Truly.

To our users who chose our soaps, came back for more, told their friends about us and gifted them to people they care about.

To the organisations and communities who believed in this tiny brand and gave us opportunities to show up, share what we do and meet more people.

And of course, to our tribe who have been faithfully saving and contributing milk cartons, sometimes turning up with bags and bags of them, often via public transport. What started as one slightly unconventional idea would never have grown without all of you participating in it.

As a solopreneur running a nano business, it means a lot to know that the work we do can be seen and recognised.

But more than anything, I came away from last night feeling humbled.

There were SO many incredible sustainable brands, social enterprises, organisations and individuals in that room. And SO many more out there doing meaningful work every single day who may never stand on an awards stage.

So I receive this with a very full heart, but also as one small person in a much bigger community of people trying, in our own different ways, to make things a little better.

A huge congratulations to all the winners, Zero Waste SG Just Keep Thinking susGain The Powder Shampoo® (look out for the full list today) and to every nominee. An award can only recognise a handful of people and organisations at a time, but being nominated already speaks to the work, conviction and impact happening across this community. There is so much good work being done, on stage and off.

TBC in the comments…sorry there’s just so much to say 😅

A big thank you to Honeycombers Singapore for creating a platform that shines a light on this community and keeps championing the people and businesses doing this work.

This year was especially meaningful because, for the first time, the Sustainability Awards came together as a live celebration. Thank you Resorts World Sentosa for making that possible, and for bringing all of us together in the breathtaking Singapore Oceanarium . What a place to celebrate people working towards a better planet.

Thank you for believing in My Naked Bar, and for being part of this journey with me.

Let’s keep going. Together. 🧡

Big companies don’t have an easier time doing sustainability. That was my biggest takeaway from an afternoon inside

I joined an eco tour, expecting to see what scale enables. What I saw instead was this: constraints don’t disappear with size. They just get more complex.

As a nano business, I’ve often assumed bigger organisations can “just do more” if they care enough. More budget, more systems, more impact.

But sustainability in practice is a design discipline. It is a constant trade-off between resources, guest experience, hygiene, operations and cost.

And interestingly, that is also where the intention shows up most clearly.

A few things that stood out:

🛍️ Guests leave behind brand new shopping bags from Paragon next door. The team rescues and reuses them instead of discarding them.

🍽️ Food waste is tackled at different stages. The hotel uses AI to track what is discarded, then combines that data with guest profiles to forecast more accurately how much food to prepare. Edible surplus has a separate outlet through .

🛏️ Skip change of bed linen, get a $10 F&B voucher. Sustainability designed with incentives, not just goodwill.

💧 No single-use plastic bottled water. Every room has glass bottles and filtered water on tap for easy refills.

⚙️ Some of the biggest work is almost invisible to guests. The hotel’s heat-pump and central cooling system uses chilled-water and condenser-water loops to absorb heat from inside the building and release it through the cooling towers. Not glamorous, but infrastructure matters.

🧴 Even “empty” shampoo bottles are not wasted. Staff recover leftover product before recycling the packaging into road material via Magorium .

🪥 Additional toothpaste is provided separately so guests don’t have to open a full kit unnecessarily.

Even towels and linen at end of life are redirected to recycling partners.

And an unused space? Turned into a public padel court.

What I realised: none of this works in isolation.

It only works because of careful observation, intentional design, the willingness to rethink everyday defaults, and the right partners to close the loop.

Sustainability is not about having more resources.

It is about making sharper decisions with the ones you already have.

And recognising that every “yes” is a design choice that shapes behaviour somewhere else in the system.

Very familiar territory for a tiny soap business like mine 🤭🧡

Thanks NEA for the invite and Pullman Singapore Orchard and corridor farmer for facilitating the behind-the-scenes tour.
