for monolids, the wrong curl can sometimes cause the lashes to sit too close to the lid or make the lift look less visible. that’s why we customise the curl instead of using the same shield for everyone.
for this client, we chose a curl that lifted her lashes away from the lid and upwards, making them look more visible while still keeping the result soft and natural.

thick brows don’t always mean well-shaped brows 🙅🏻♀️
for this client, she already had plenty of brow hair, but the shape was quite straight and heavy with a droopy tail, which made the eyes look a little more tired and gave the brows less definition overall.
so before we even thought about hairstrokes, we first redesigned the shape.
we created a softer, more elegant arch, lifted the tail slightly to open up the eye area, and gave the brows a cleaner structure while still keeping the result natural and suited to her existing brow growth.
then came the soft nano hairstrokes 🤍
the first pass is where we build the main structure of the brow, almost like creating the skeleton or spine of the hairstroke pattern.
the second pass is all about the finishing touches, adding more strategically placed hairstrokes to create depth, fullness and a more realistic blend with her natural brow hairs.
the final result is soft, balanced and refined, without looking harsh or overly done.
and the best part? the final video is shown with no beauty filter at all 🤭😚

this client naturally has thicker brows, but she wanted a slimmer, straighter shape.
instead of over-removing her natural brow hairs or creating a shape that sits outside of her natural growth, we carefully mapped a skinny straight brow that still stayed within the bulk of her existing brow hairs.
why does that matter?
because if she decides she wants thicker brows again in the future, she still can. the embroidered shape will sit underneath her natural brow growth, so once her hairs grow back in, the slimmer shape can be softened and hidden naturally.
and because brow embroidery gradually lightens and fades over time, she isn’t locked into one brow shape forever 🤍
once we were happy with the shape, we completed the look with our new soft nano combo - a combination of soft nano hairstrokes and soft ombré shading.

“i want them obvious, but natural” 🤭
sounds contradictory but we get exactly what you mean!!
you want your lashes lifted enough that you can actually see a difference, but not so overly curled that they look unnatural or start curling back into your eyelids.
this is why we customise every lash lift instead of using the same curl on everyone.
we take into consideration your eye shape, eyelids, natural lash length and of course, how lifted you want them to be.
because sometimes, going for the strongest curl doesn’t necessarily give you the best lift. depending on your lashes and eyelids, it can actually make your lashes look shorter or cause the tips to curl back towards your lids.

sick of your uneven, asymmetrical brows? 😪
brow mapping can make a huge difference, but creating balanced brows isn’t as simple as following measurements and making both sides identical.
for this client, her right brow naturally sits higher than her left. to create better balance, we slightly lowered her right brow while raising her left.
but here’s the important part: we still made sure to preserve the bulk of her natural brow hairs within her new shape.
this means that as her brow hairs grow out, she won’t have to constantly trim away large amounts of stray hair to maintain the shape. keeping more of her natural brow hairs also allows them to sit over the embroidery, helping everything blend even more seamlessly and naturally 🤍
at barefaced, we don’t rely on brow mapping alone.
no one’s face is perfectly symmetrical, so following measurements alone won’t necessarily give you the most balanced brows. we combine detailed brow mapping with intuitive shaping, visually adjusting the brows according to your facial features, natural asymmetry and brow hair growth.
