Supersmooth
Supersmooth is an Asian self care brand & I’m so excited to share this with you!
I’ve found a way to treat every single skin tone safely & completely painlessly, & I do this by bypassing the skin & going straight to the hair roots.

"𝐢 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞?"
Let’s talk about what’s going on here in plain, no-shame terms:
Those bumps you’re seeing after waxing? Classic case of post-wax folliculitis—a fancy word for “your hair follicles are irritated and mad at you.”
When you yank hair out from the root (especially at home), your pores are left wide open and vulnerable, like someone forgot to shut the front door during a storm.
Add friction, sweat, bacteria, or even just poor aftercare—and boom: irritation and tiny red bumps.
Here’s how to prevent it like a post-waxing pro:
𝟏. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞
Exfoliate 24 hours before waxing (not immediately before!) using a gentle scrub or chemical exfoliant (like lactic or glycolic acid).
Make sure your skin is clean and dry before waxing—no lotions, no oils.
𝟐. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
Use clean wax tools, fresh wax strips, and wash your hands.
After waxing, apply an antiseptic like witch hazel or a post-wax cooling gel to calm the skin and keep bacteria from crashing the party.
𝟑. 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 + 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭
No hot showers, tight pants, sweaty workouts, or Netflix-and-sweat for at least 24 hours.
Let those pores calm down first.
𝟒. 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐭
Use a fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe gel to soothe and hydrate.
If bumps start forming, a light salicylic acid or tea tree oil-based product can help clear them up gently.
𝟓. 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬
If this keeps happening, your skin may be saying, “Waxing ain’t it, sis.” Laser hair removal or sugaring might be less irritating alternatives.
And just know—this happens to a lot of people, especially if you’ve got sensitive skin or coarser hair. Totally normal.

Do you struggle with removing unwanted hair on certain body parts, and often find yourself resorting to temporary methods like plucking or shaving? While these hair removal methods can be affordable and convenient, they often lead to side effects like rashes, ingrown hair and folliculitis. Further, they can be extremely time consuming too.

I've gotten waxes around the world and this place is my favorite. All the staff are professional, polite, and friendly. The facility itself looks clean, modern, and new. I enjoy the playful signage. They had music playing and dim lighting which made me feel at ease. The wax is not hot at all, unlike other places I've been to - it's comfortably warm. The aesthetician (Catherine/Katherine?) was very talented. She was efficient and thorough. I took ibuprofen and panadol before my session so I'm not sure how much was the drugs and how much was her talent, but this was definitely the most painless wax I've ever had. And best of all - the most affordable wax at a quality place in Singapore, to the best of my knowledge.
This was my second time there and I will be back again!
