If you've found comfort beyond me, I'll wish you well from afar—not because it didn't hurt, but because loving you was never about holding you captive to a chapter that's closed. I won't chase what has found its home elsewhere. Some goodbyes don't need anger, just the quiet acceptance that your peace no longer includes me. And that's enough for me to let you go, gently.

Maybe when love ceases, it doesn't have to imply "I'm hurt, we made mistakes." Maybe it implies, "It was lovely to be adored here. We had our period. Now it's time to seek love where it rightfully belongs."
