I get to sit with women during one of the most exciting, emotional and slightly chaotic weeks of their lives—and create something beautiful for them in the middle of it all. Even after doing this for so many years, that still feels incredibly special to me.

There is something so satisfying about watching an empty pair of hands slowly become covered in tiny lines, flowers, patterns and little personal details. Hours and hours of work, built one line at a time—and then suddenly, the entire design makes sense. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that moment.

I obviously love the henna, the details and watching the entire design slowly come together—but the girls I meet are such a big part of why I enjoy this work. Every appointment brings a completely different personality, energy and story into my chair. It really is never just another day at work.

There is something so incredibly beautiful about seeing a bride completely adorned. 🤍
IMHO if you’re a vendor in the wedding industry in a client facing role, the ONLY way to pace yourself through intense wedding season is to follow this formula:
1/ eat well, eat on time, bring your food with you (if you don’t have access to reheating machines, bring in a hotbox or a tiffin box that can be reheated with a USB charger
2/ drink a lot of water throughout the day and take regular toilet breaks
3/ Decathlon hand donut to not get hand cramps
4/ before wedding szn starts, lift very heavy on your backs in the gym and really strengthen your back (I have moved to dumbbells at home now to cut down on travel time to gym)
5/ pace your energy well throughout the day in terms of interaction. When drawing, I’d have my headphones on and focus on my craft. When we break for meals, when I’m drying someone’s hands I would remove my headphones and do THE CUSTOMER SERVICE part where I bring THE VIBES to the wedding week!
