Kuzee United Crowned Champions of Yambio FA Second Division League

Kuzee United FC celebrated a monumental achievement yesterday Saturday 30th May 2026 as they were awarded the trophy for finishing atop the Yambio FA Second Division League with an impressive 50 points from 22 games. The ceremony took place at Yambio Freedom Square, following the club's final match of the season, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Sporting Tiger FC.

During the trophy presentation, Olal Joseph, the Acting President of the Yambio Football Association, praised Kuzee United for their remarkable performance throughout the season. "Your hard work and dedication have not only brought you this trophy but also a well-deserved promotion to the first division," Olal said.

Joseph Archangelo Apai, the former Deputy Secretary General of the South Sudan Football Federation and a football administrator, expressed his joy at Kuzee United's success. "I am extremely happy to see Kuzee United FC promoted to the first division," Apai remarked. He recalled the club's humble beginnings as a third division team during his tenure as Secretary of the Yambio Football Association. "This is a testament to what can be achieved with determination and community support," he added, urging the residents of the Kuzee Area to rally behind the club as they embark on this new chapter.

With their promotion to the Tk Sports Yambio First Division League, Kuzee United FC will compete at a higher level next season, marking an impressive six-year journey since the club's establishment 2019. The team’s supporters celebrated the achievement with cheers and chants.
