“He doesn't need many chances to score. He got one chance, scored, then created his own goal and scored again. Congrats”.

Football enthusiasts have found themselves in a whirlpool of disbelief after Egyptians were clearly robbed in the world cup against Argentina.
Argentina has been hugely favored in many calls from match Officials, from VAR to infield officials. Football fanatics worldwide compared the match with that of Netherland against the same Argentina in the December 2022.
The match was full of controversies, erroneous calls, cards given anyhow, subsequently the match became the first match with many cards given in the world cup history. 18 cards were given to the players during that time.

"FOOTBALL ROBBERY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT" - THIERRY HENRY ON ARGENTINA VS EGYPT
Mabanga News Diggers
Wednesday, 8th April 2026 | Sports
Former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has weighed in on Argentina’s win over Egypt at the FIFA World Cup, calling it _"football robbery in broad daylight."_
🗣️ _“For me, this feels like football robbery in broad daylight.
I’m not taking anything away from Argentina’s quality because they have world-class players, but I don’t think they deserved to win this match. Egypt worked incredibly hard to build a two-goal lead. They defended with courage, attacked with confidence and earned every bit of that advantage._
_The turning point, in my opinion, was the refereeing. I didn’t agree with the penalty that was awarded to Argentina earlier in the game, and after that it felt as though every important decision was going against Egypt. Whether people agree or disagree, those moments changed the rhythm of the match and gave Argentina the momentum they desperately needed._
_Egypt will leave this tournament feeling heartbroken because they were so close to one of the greatest victories in their history. Sometimes football is decided by brilliant moments, and sometimes it’s decided by controversial decisions. Tonight, I believe the officiating will be discussed just as much as the football itself.”_
Egypt had gone 2-0 up and looked set for a historic upset before Argentina fought back to eliminate them.
The comments have already sparked debate online, with fans divided over the refereeing decisions.

🚨 CONTROVERSY AT THE 2026 WORLD CUP AGAIN
Hossam Hassan Accuses Officials of Favoring Messi and Argentina
The 2026 FIFA World Cup has been rocked by explosive comments from Egypt Head Coach *Hossam Hassan* following the Pharaohs’ dramatic 3-2 loss to Argentina.
What Happened
Egypt produced one of the tournament’s standout performances, leading 2-0 until the 79th minute. But a late Argentina comeback sealed a 3-2 victory and sent the Albiceleste through — breaking millions of African hearts in the process.
Hassan’s Reaction
In a heated post-match press conference, Hassan made serious accusations about the officiating and the business side of football:
> “It's all about the money. They want Messi to stay in the tournament. In football, a lot of things happen off the pitch because of interests at stake. What happened was unfair. Egypt deserved to qualify. We were the better team against Argentina.” 🇪🇬🇦🇷
The Egyptian coach implied that external pressures influenced the outcome to ensure Lionel Messi and Argentina remained in the competition.
The Bigger Picture
Hassan’s comments add fuel to a long-running debate in football:
Are major tournaments influenced to protect their biggest stars and commercial interests?
Or was this simply frustration after Egypt let a commanding 2-0 lead slip away in the final 10 minutes?
FIFA has not yet responded to the allegations.
🗣️ YOUR TURN, FANS
Do you agree with Hossam Hassan that big tournaments are "protected" to keep superstars like Messi in?
Or is this just the pain of a 2-0 collapse talking?

PETER DRURY: ON PENALTY CONCEDED BY G. JESUS VS MAN UNITED
`“Here it comes. United breaking. Pace. Purpose.
The ball is played in... and Gabriel Jesus slides in.
OH! He’s caught him. He’s caught the man.
The whistle. The point. The dreaded spot.
It is a penalty.
Gabriel Jesus... a name that speaks of miracles, of salvation...
has in one split second delivered Arsenal to the edge of despair.
Twelve yards now. That’s all that separates hope from heartbreak.
The stadium rises. Old Trafford holds its breath.
One kick. One moment. One story about to be written in red.
Football. Bloody hell.”`
Bruno steps up... SCORES
`“He buries it! And Jesus can only look skyward... asking questions only the heavens can answer.”`
