MTN leads South Sudan mobile market with 57% subscriber share

MTN South Sudan holds the largest share of the country’s mobile telecommunications market in 2026, accounting for 57% of reported mobile subscribers, according to new data published by the National Communication Authority (NCA).

Zain South Sudan follows with 20.5%, while Digitel South Sudan accounts for 18.1%.

The NCA graphic reports a total of 7,634,788 mobile subscribers across the three operators.

The figures show MTN maintaining a strong lead in South Sudan’s telecommunications market, with more than half of the reported subscribers using its network.
