WATER vs OIL ACTIVES: Why Your Skincare Isn't Working
Skincare actives work better when you know what they dissolve in. It tells you where they pe*****te and how to layer them.
Think like this: Water-soluble = works on the surface. Oil-soluble = works deep inside pores.
1. WATER-SOLUBLE ACTIVES
Goes on FIRST, on damp skin. Best for brightening + hydration.
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Fades dark spots, controls oil, calms acne. Example: For dark spots left by pimples. • Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid): Gives glow, fades hyperpigmentation, protects from sun. Must use sunscreen. • Hyaluronic Acid: Pulls water into skin, makes it plump. Example: For dry, tight skin. • Glycerin & Panthenol (B5): Heals and soothes irritation. • AHAs - Glycolic, Lactic Acid: Dissolves dead skin on top. For rough texture. • Tranexamic Acid & Alpha-Arbutin: For stubborn melasma and dark marks, without bleaching.
2. OIL-SOLUBLE ACTIVES
Goes on AFTER water serums. Penetrates through oil/sebum into pores.
• Retinol (Vitamin A): Best for acne, texture and anti-aging. Increases turnover. Use only at night. Example: For small bumps and fine lines. • Salicylic Acid (BHA): The ONLY acid that is oil-soluble. Gets INSIDE the pore to clear blackheads. Example: For oily skin and blackheads. • Vitamin E: Heals barrier, moisturizes, makes Vitamin C stronger. • Bakuchiol: Plant retinol, less irritation. • Ceramides, Squalane: Repair your barrier so actives don't burn you.
3. ACTIVES THAT WORK IN BOTH
More stable and gentle, perfect for brown skin.
• Azelaic Acid: Fades spots + fights acne + calms redness at once. • Ethyl Ascorbic Acid & Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate: Vitamin C that works in water and oil, doesn't sting.
HOW TO LAYER:
1. Cleanser 2. Water actives - AM: Niacinamide or Vitamin C / PM: AHA 2x a week 3. Oil actives - PM: Salicylic 2x a week or Retinol 3x a week 4. Moisturizer 5. Sunscreen in the morning - Don't skip!
Simple routine for dark spots + acne:
AM: Niacinamide + Vitamin C + Moisturizer + Sunscreen
PM: Salicylic Acid + Retinol + Moisturizer
02/10/2026
Your serums are NOT working because you are layering them wrong! 👀
It all comes down to this: What does it dissolve in?
Think of it like sugar vs cooking oil.
1. WATER-SOLUBLE = Like sugar in tea
Dissolves in water. Stays on the top + hydration layer. You apply FIRST on damp skin.
Examples:
• Niacinamide: Your oil-control bestie. Fades dark spots from acne, shrinks pores. Perfect for melanin skin. • Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic): Your brightening bestie. Gives you glow, fades hyperpigmentation. • Hyaluronic Acid: Like a glass of water for your skin. Plumps and hydrates. • AHAs (Glycolic/Lactic Acid): Sweeps away dead skin on the surface. For smooth texture.
2. OIL-SOLUBLE = Like oil in stew
Dissolves in oil. Goes DEEP inside your pores and barrier. You apply AFTER water serums.
Examples:
• Salicylic Acid (BHA): The ONLY acid that goes INSIDE the pore to remove blackheads and oil. If you have oily skin, you need this. • Retinol (Vitamin A): The anti-aging boss. For acne, texture, dark spots. Night only! • Vitamin E + Ceramides + Squalane: Repairs your barrier so your skin doesn't burn when you use actives.
3. THE HYBRID = Works in BOTH
The upgraded versions. More stable, less irritation.
• Azelaic Acid: Holy grail for brown skin. Fights acne, redness AND dark spots at once. • Ethyl Vitamin C: Vitamin C that doesn't sting.
HOW TO LAYER (So you don't damage your barrier):
Morning: Cleanser > Water-Active (Niacinamide OR Vitamin C) > Moisturizer > SUNSCREEN!!
Night: Cleanser > Water-Active (AHA 2x a week) > Oil-Active (Salicylic 2x a week OR Retinol 3x a week) > Moisturizer
RULES:
Never use Retinol + AHA/BHA same night when starting.
Always use sunscreen, or Vitamin C and Retinol will make you darker.
What is your struggle? Dark spots, acne, or oily skin? Comment below and I'll build your routine.

JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 19
WHAT I WANT JADIA TO GIVE WOMEN ❤️
I don't want to build JADIA BEAUTY just so people can buy a product.
I want to build something that makes a woman feel something.
Because I know what it feels like to look at yourself and wonder if you are still becoming the woman you dreamed of being.
I know what it feels like when life doesn't follow the plan you wrote for yourself.
When you have to start again.
When you have to find your courage again.
When you have to look in the mirror and say:
“I am still here.”
That is the woman I think about when I think about JADIA.
The woman who has been through things she doesn't always talk about.
The woman rebuilding quietly.
The woman learning to believe in herself again.
The woman who had dreams before life became complicated.
The woman who may have forgotten how powerful she is.
The woman who is starting over at an age she never expected to start over.
The woman who looks strong on the outside…
but is still healing on the inside.
I want JADIA to remind her that she is still worthy of beauty.
Still worthy of care.
Still worthy of dreams.
Still worthy of becoming.
I don't want JADIA to tell women that they have to be perfect to be beautiful.
I want it to remind them that beauty and becoming can exist together.
You can be growing and still be beautiful.
You can be healing and still be beautiful.
You can be starting again and still be beautiful.
You can have scars from yesterday and still carry hope for tomorrow.
Your story does not have to be perfect for your future to be beautiful.
And if JADIA ever becomes what I pray it can become…
I want a woman somewhere to hold a JADIA product in her hands and feel more than the product.
I want her to feel a message:
“Keep going.”
“You are not finished.”
“Your story is still being written.”
“You can become again.”
Because that's what this brand means to me.
It is not only about what goes on the skin.
It is about the story behind the hands that created it.
My hands.
Hands that have worked.
Hands that have learned.
Hands that have failed.
Hands that have prayed.
Hands that have started again.
And hands that are still building.
I want JADIA to carry excellence, purpose, confidence, care, and hope.
And above all, I want to build it in a way that honors God.
Not because I have everything figured out.
But because I know I cannot build the future alone.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” — Proverbs 31:25
That verse speaks to something deep inside me.
Because I want women to look toward tomorrow without being prisoners of yesterday.
I want them to know:
You can rise.
You can rebuild.
You can learn.
You can create.
You can dream.
You can begin again.
And you can become.
So when you eventually see JADIA BEAUTY…
I hope you don't only see a beauty brand.
I hope you see a woman who decided that her story wasn't over.
A woman who turned lessons into wisdom.
Pain into growth.
Dreams into work.
And faith into movement.
This is what I want JADIA to give women.
Not perfection.
Permission to keep becoming. ❤️
JADIA BEAUTY is still becoming.
And so are we.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.

JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 18
I’M BUILDING WITH LITTLE, BUT BELIEVING FOR MUCH.
Let me tell you something about beginnings…
They rarely look impressive.
Sometimes the dream is huge…
But the resources are small.
The vision is clear…
But the road is not.
You know where you want to go…
But you don't yet know exactly how you're going to get there.
That is where I am.
Building with what I have.
Learning with what I know.
Growing with what God has given me.
Taking one step at a time.
And believing for much more.
Because I have learned that you don't need to have everything before you begin.
Sometimes you begin with a seed.
Then you water it.
You protect it.
You learn.
You work.
You pray.
And eventually…
the seed becomes something people can see.
JADIA BEAUTY is still in that seed stage.
There are things people don't see yet.
The ideas.
The plans.
The formulas.
The lessons.
The mistakes.
The dreams.
The conversations.
The prayers.
The sacrifices.
The work happening quietly behind the scenes.
But I see it.
I can see the vision.
And that is enough to keep me moving.
I don't need everyone to understand it right now.
I don't need everyone to believe in it right now.
I don't need the world to clap for the beginning.
I just need the courage to keep building.
And the wisdom to keep learning.
And the faith to keep trusting God.
Because sometimes God gives you a vision that is bigger than your current circumstances.
Not so you can panic…
But so you can grow.
So here I am.
Building.
Learning.
Failing.
Adjusting.
Trying again.
Praying.
Believing.
Becoming.
And one day, when people see what JADIA BEAUTY has become, they may only see the result.
But I will remember these days.
The days when it was small.
The days when I had to believe before I could see.
The days when the vision lived mostly inside my heart.
Those days matter.
Because every big story has a small beginning.
“Do not despise these small beginnings.” — Zechariah 4:10
So don't laugh at my beginning.
Don't underestimate my little.
Don't confuse small with insignificant.
A seed is small.
But there is a whole tree hidden inside it.
And I believe there is something much bigger hidden inside this beginning.
JADIA BEAUTY is not where I want it to be yet.
But it is no longer just a dream.
It is becoming.
And I am becoming with it.
I'm building with little.
But I'm believing for much.
And I'm trusting the One who gave me the vision.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.

JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 17
WHAT JADIA MEANS TO ME
One day, people may hear the name JADIA BEAUTY and think about beauty products.
But when I hear JADIA…
I hear a story.
I hear a woman who refused to disappear inside the chapters that hurt her.
I hear the girl who once had different dreams.
I hear the woman who had to begin again.
I hear the formulator who started learning from the ground up.
I hear the entrepreneur who is still figuring things out.
I hear the prayers I whispered when nobody was watching.
I hear my father's support.
I hear the lessons.
The failures.
The courage.
The tears.
The little victories.
And most importantly…
I hear hope.
JADIA BEAUTY was not born from a perfect life.
It is being built from a real one.
A life with beautiful moments.
A life with painful moments.
A life with mistakes.
A life with lessons.
A life where I am still becoming.
And that is why I don't want JADIA to be just another brand.
I want it to carry meaning.
I want every woman who encounters JADIA to feel that beauty is not about pretending your life has always been perfect.
Beauty can also be found in becoming.
In rebuilding.
In learning.
In growing.
In choosing yourself again.
In discovering that your story is not finished.
I want JADIA to remind women:
You can start again.
You can dream again.
You can build again.
You can become again.
Your past can be part of your story without becoming the definition of your future.
And as I build this brand, I don't want to forget the foundation.
God.
Because I know where my strength came from.
I know the prayers behind this vision.
I know the seasons that pushed me closer to Him.
So I don't want JADIA to simply become successful.
I want it to become meaningful.
I want to build with excellence.
I want to build with integrity.
I want to build with purpose.
I want to build something that outlives a trend.
Something that tells a story.
Something that reminds people that what looks like a small beginning can become something beautiful.
JADIA is still becoming.
And so am I.
Maybe that's why the name feels so personal.
Because when you say JADIA…
you are not just saying the name of my brand.
You are saying the name of a journey.
A journey from pain to purpose.
From fear to courage.
From dreaming to building.
From surviving to becoming.
And I believe God is not finished with the story.
“Write the vision and make it plain…” — Habakkuk 2:2
So I'm writing it.
I'm documenting it.
I'm building it.
And I'm trusting God with the rest.
One day, people will see JADIA BEAUTY.
But before they see the brand…
I want them to understand the woman who became brave enough to build it.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.
01/10/2026
JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 16
THE FIRST PRODUCT
Every brand has a beginning.
Not the beautiful beginning people see online.
Not the perfect packaging.
Not the polished photos.
Not the launch announcement.
I mean the beginning nobody sees.
The first attempt.
The first formula.
The first mistake.
The first time you look at what you created and wonder:
“Can I really do this?”
That is where my journey with JADIA BEAUTY began.
Before there was a brand…
There was a woman learning.
Learning how ingredients work.
Learning formulation.
Learning through mistakes.
Learning through patience.
Learning that creating something beautiful takes more than a dream.
It takes discipline.
It takes testing.
It takes correction.
It takes starting over.
Sometimes you create something and it doesn't come out the way you imagined.
So you go back.
You study.
You adjust.
You try again.
And again.
And again.
Because the first version doesn't have to be perfect.
It just has to teach you something.
That first product wasn't just a product to me.
It was proof.
Proof that the dream in my head could become something in my hands.
I remember looking at what I was creating and thinking:
“Wait… I'm actually building something.”
That moment meant more to me than anyone could understand.
Because people may eventually see a finished JADIA BEAUTY product.
But I will remember the version nobody saw.
The experiments.
The learning.
The uncertainty.
The prayers.
The mistakes.
The tiny victories.
The moments I wanted to stop.
And the moments I chose to continue.
This is why I am documenting everything.
Because one day, when JADIA BEAUTY has grown, I want to look back at these early days and remember:
It started small.
But the vision was never small.
I don't know exactly how far this journey will go.
But I know why I started.
I want to build something meaningful.
Something I can be proud of.
Something that carries excellence.
Something that reminds another woman that she can learn, create, build, and begin again.
And above everything…
I want to build it with God.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
So this is Day 16.
Not the finished product.
Not the final chapter.
Just another piece of the becoming.
The first product was not the end of the dream.
It was the moment the dream became tangible.
JADIA BEAUTY…
we are becoming.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.

JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 15
I AM STILL YOUNG ENOUGH TO BEGIN AGAIN.
There is something I want to remind myself—and maybe remind someone else too:
I am not too late.
I am not too old.
I am not too broken.
I am not disqualified because my life didn't go according to my original plan.
I am still young enough to begin again.
Young enough to learn again.
Young enough to dream again.
Young enough to build something meaningful.
Young enough to become the woman I once imagined I could be.
There were dreams I had years ago that didn't happen.
There were choices I wish I had made differently.
There were seasons that took things from me.
There were moments when I looked at my life and wondered:
“How did I get here?”
But today, I ask a different question:
“Where can I go from here?”
Because my past may explain me.
But it does not have to define me.
I can start again.
And this time, I am starting with experience.
With wisdom.
With lessons.
With courage.
With God.
I once dreamed of becoming a Public Certified Accountant.
Life took me somewhere I never expected.
I became a formulator.
I learned shoemaking.
I began learning business.
And now I am building JADIA BEAUTY.
Look at how life can change.
Sometimes the chapter you thought was a detour becomes the chapter that prepares you for the next assignment.
So if you are reading this and thinking:
“Maybe it's too late for me…”
Please hear me:
It is not too late to learn.
It is not too late to rebuild.
It is not too late to start again.
Your timeline is not a prison.
Your past is not your final chapter.
And your mistakes are not proof that you cannot become who you were meant to be.
I am not going to spend the rest of my life mourning the person I thought I would become.
I am going to become the person I am becoming now.
One step at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One lesson at a time.
One brave decision at a time.
And when JADIA BEAUTY finally stands where I can see it clearly, I want to remember this version of me.
The version who didn't have everything figured out.
The version who was still healing.
Still learning.
Still afraid sometimes.
But who kept going.
Because maybe the real miracle wasn't the day the dream became visible.
Maybe the miracle was every day I refused to give up before that day came.
“Do not despise these small beginnings.” — Zechariah 4:10
This is my beginning.
Again.
And this time…
I am building with God.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.

JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 14
WHAT PAIN PLANTED IN ME
I used to ask myself:
“Why did I have to go through that?”
Why did that season have to hurt so much?
Why did I have to lose parts of myself just to discover who I really was?
Why did I have to walk through something I never imagined for my life?
I don't have every answer.
And I don't believe every painful thing that happens to us is something God wanted for us.
But I have learned something:
Pain can leave wisdom behind.
That season taught me courage.
It taught me boundaries.
It taught me discernment.
It taught me that I can survive things I once thought would destroy me.
It taught me to stop waiting for someone else to give me permission to become the woman I was created to be.
And most importantly…
It taught me to begin again.
I thought that season was burying me.
I didn't know I was planting seeds.
Seeds of courage.
Seeds of independence.
Seeds of wisdom.
Seeds of discipline.
Seeds of faith.
Seeds of a new dream.
And today, some of those seeds are becoming JADIA BEAUTY.
So no, I don't celebrate the pain.
I don't romanticize what hurt me.
I don't pretend that everything was okay.
But I can look back and say:
“I learned from it.”
I can take the lessons without carrying the chains.
I can forgive without forgetting what I learned.
I can move forward without hating where I've been.
And I can thank God for giving me the strength to keep walking.
Because sometimes the greatest evidence that you survived isn't that you look untouched.
It's that you are still willing to build.
Still willing to love.
Still willing to dream.
Still willing to believe.
Still willing to become.
I am not the woman my pain tried to convince me I was.
I am the woman who chose to rise.
And I have a lot of stories in my chest.
Stories I will tell.
Lessons I will teach.
Dreams I will build.
And maybe one day, another woman will hear my story and realize:
“If she could begin again, maybe I can too.”
That is why I am documenting this journey.
Not because I have arrived.
But because I am becoming.
“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” — Proverbs 24:16
This is my rising.
This is my rebuilding.
This is my becoming.
And JADIA BEAUTY is only one chapter of what comes next.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.
JADIA — THE BECOMING | DAY 13
THE DREAM CHANGED. BUT I DIDN’T.
There was a time when I had a completely different picture of my future.
I wanted to become a Public Certified Accountant.
That was the dream I carried.
I imagined myself in a different career, living a different story, walking a completely different road.
But life happened.
I made decisions.
I entered a marriage believing it might change my life.
Instead, that season brought pain I never imagined I would have to carry.
For a while, I thought…
“Maybe my story is over.”
But I was wrong.
My story wasn't over.
It was changing.
The woman who entered that season is not the same woman who came out of it.
I learned.
I cried.
I became courageous.
I discovered strength I didn't know I had.
And somewhere along the way, another dream began to grow.
I started learning.
I became a formulator.
I learned shoemaking.
I started thinking differently about business.
I started imagining brands.
Companies.
Products.
Something I could build with my own hands.
And then came JADIA BEAUTY.
The dream I once had didn't necessarily disappear.
It evolved.
And maybe that's something somebody needs to hear today:
Your life may not look the way you planned.
That doesn't mean your life has failed.
Sometimes the road changes because you are becoming someone who can carry a different vision.
I am still young.
I can begin again.
I can learn again.
I can build again.
I can dream again.
And I can do it with God.
I don't hate the woman I used to be.
I don't hate the seasons that shaped me.
I don't need to rewrite my past.
I simply refuse to let my past write my future.
I am not starting from nothing.
I am starting from experience.
The dream changed.
But I didn't.
I kept becoming.
And now, I'm building.
One lesson.
One product.
One mistake.
One prayer.
One step at a time.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Maybe this is my season to build.
Maybe this is my season to become.
Maybe this is my season to give birth to something I couldn't see before.
JADIA BEAUTY is not just a brand I am creating.
It is evidence that I am still here.
Still learning.
Still believing.
Still dreaming.
Still becoming.
They will see the brand.
But you will see the becoming.
