Hi gals,
Not gonna lie guys, writing out these words triggered me. I felt like I was lying to myself. "Is it really okay, or am I crazy?".

There's a shame attached to being "unproductive", you get a day off and lay in bed and watch Netflix all day, and at the end of the day, you feel guilty, "I wasted a whole day." But did you? Is resting a waste of time? I think we're way too hard on our selves.
I also think we should prioritize those lazy days, to allow our bodies and minds to recharge, and gather our thoughts rather than being in work mode all the time.
Set a day for rest, and actually use it to rest, not to procrastinate, that way, you're sticking to schedule 😉

This year I want us to stop beating our selves up for not having it all figured out by Sunday, it's okay, we can go back to being girl bosses tomorrow, sometimes we're allowed to just be.

How's everyone fairing in this ongoing lockdown?

I know for me (and many other businesses) things haven't been exactly ideal, the beauty industry has been taking hit after hit, and it's been undoubtedly difficult for many small business owners and entrepreneurs. Some estheticians are still taking clients, some are strictly following rules and abiding by the law. I've been in a turmoil of whether or not to post and advertise on fear of attracting clients and having to turn them down (thus the inactivity) This lockdown has been a hectic mix of family bonding, anxiety, depression and (for those who sought after it) self discovery. I often contemplated giving up, put myself down, all the works, but this is a reminder to all small businesses owners, on the bridge of giving up. There's always something you have to offer that others don't, and even though we find ourselves comparing, questioning, wondering (if to break the law and risk Covid-19), we can use this difficult time to work on ourselves and our businesses in ways we've been putting off, we can learn things even if we can't renovate our spaces as we planned, and do extra online learning while we don't take clients. As hard as it is, try not to give up on your dream, even if the reason you started seems like a faraway dream right now.
I know I'm not alone in this, and I wish the best for everyone struggling to keep their heads above water. 💗
