"I made great progress in the initial stages of my training, when I served in the Austrian army and had a lot of things to do. When we took part in maneuvers along the Czechoslovak border for six weeks, I had to steer a tank for fifteen hours a day, pump fuel with a hand pump, "fight" huge fuel barrels, and repair. We slept in trenches or under tanks and had to wake up at six o'clock in the morning. However, my friend and I woke up at five o'clock, climbed into the tank tool compartment, where we kept our bars, and trained for an hour before the general ascent. After the day's training, we trained for another hour. I can't imagine more difficult conditions for training and therefore I emphasize that finding time and energy for training is a matter of motivation and interest.
A real athlete will always find time and place for training in any situation.

I have always been a nonconformist, and I was often punished, beaten with a belt, and put in a corner. The way my father treated me can be called child abuse. ”
